2016 DEBATE WATCH: Donald Trump Slides To Seventh Place
Townhall.com ^ | July 3, 2015 | Daniel Doherty

Posted on 07/03/2015 10:02:16 AM PDT by Kaslin

Editor’s note: "2016 Debate Watch" is a running, bi-weekly series.

This week we’ve seen Jeb Bush and Donald Trump gain some momentum. Carly Fiorina, meanwhile, recently turned some heads as well, cracking the top ten for the first time ever.

If the August 6 Fox News debate were held tonight, however, only the following candidates would make the (prime-time) cut. (See the debate rules here):

(1) Jeb Bush: 15.0

(2) Scott Walker: 10.6

(3) Marco Rubio: 9.4

(4) Ben Carson: 9.4

(5) Mike Huckabee: 8.0

(6) Rand Paul: 8.0

(7) Donald Trump: 6.0

(8) Ted Cruz: 4.8

(9) Chris Christie: 3.8

(10) Rick Perry: 3.4

Editor’s note: The five polls used to calculate these averages can be found here, here, here, here, and here.

The last Fox and CNN polls shows Trump up so there was no “Slide” in the polls. The headline is misleading.

Gee, i guess i will change my Cruz vote to Jeb. He obviously has this locked up. I don’t even care what he stands for.

In trying to be humorous, you may have inadvertently tapped into a considerable segment of the uninformed of TX.

Poll Dec 1978: Carter 57% Reagan 35%.

People and voters tend to change their minds. The negative poll number on Trump is no doubt going down.

My take on Trump is that he says a few things
that need to be said and he fires back at critics.
Having stated that he is also a media whore who sucks
the oxygen out of the atmosphere and the MSM is
more than happy to focus on the bombastic aspects
of his shtick to the detriment of other GOP candidates.

Trump will have no loyalty to any political philosophy
if he should be elected president. What Schwarzenegger
was to California as governor, Trump would be to
America as CIC. He is a lone wolf. No thanks.

What Trump needs to do is use video of American victims of illegal alien crime. Get clips of the victims families.

Allow them to tell all how their families were destroyed by illegal alien crime. Trump simply pauses during interviews for the clips as they tell the audience their horrific stories. Bring on the parents of the small kids and the murdered who were viciously brutalized.

We can can sit back and watch the tables get turned on the media. Make those who lie about the truth hear and see the brutal truth.

ICE didn’t release a breakdown of criminal offenses of the new 30,000 on Wednesday, but among the 36,000 released in 2013 were 193 homicide convictions, 426 sexual assault convictions, 303 kidnapping convictions and 16,070 convictions for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

They are releasing murderers, kidnappers, sex criminals, and drunk drivers into the American populace because their home countries won't take them back?

And they released even more last year?

How the hell is all hell not breaking loose?

This is insane, the apparatchiks and the politicians and judges responsible for this need to go to jail.

START IMMIGRATION REFORM BY CATCHING THESE MF’S AND SENDING THEM BACK TO WHERE THEY CAME FROM.

Their countries don’t want them back, TOO DAMN BAD.

This is impeachable.

Republicans in Congress have proposed rewriting the law to allow for longer detention of serious criminals, and have called on the Obama administration to use existing powers to deny visas to leaders of countries that refuse to take their citizens back.

But the administration has declined to take those steps.

Those released from custody are generally supposed to be monitored, and Ms. Saldana vowed to stiffen those procedures to try to ensure those that are released are not able to commit new crimes.

The RIGHT WING needs to take matters in hand.

The marxists in DC have now elected to dispatch a LEGION OF ILLEGAL ALIEN MURDERERS, KIDNAPPERS, SEX CRIMINALS, AND DRUNK DRIVERS INTO THE AMERICAN POPULACE.

This cannot stand, these are not your standard illegal aliens, these are HARD CORE FELONS, and their release into the populace undermines the HUSSEIN Administrations narrative that they are going to grant amnesty to garden variety ILLEGAL ALIENS to concentrate on “criminals”

This is a goddamned CPUSA conspiracy, the CPUSA is in control of DHS.

Those responsible must be brought to justice.

The CPUSA controlled HUSSEIN BARAKA ADMINISTRATION wages war against REAL AMERICANS on a daily basis on an unlimited number of fronts.

They time release of damaging information to coincide with other world events in order to deflect attention.

THESE 150,000 MURDERERS, KIDNAPPERS, SEX CRIMINALS, AND DRUNK DRIVERS NEED TO BE HUNTED DOWN LIKE DOGS AND EXPELLED!!!!!!!!!

With any luck Cruz and Trump will double team Jeb, Walker and Rubio. They need to knock those three out and then the two of them can sort it out down the line.

Yup.

Bring on the American victims of this violent lawlessness, all perpetrated by government and their professional politician enablers.

Make hundreds of video clips of the victims and their families. Pepper these clips into Trumps campaign ads and interviews.

Put them in the audience at the debates, point them out. Show the clips.

According to this, by aggregating about most if not all the polls...

“Republican firebrand Donald Trump is crowing about his success in presidential polls — but condemnation of his comments about Mexican immigrants is growing.
...

Trump was touting his first-place finish in an average of 105 opinion polls tracked by the news outlet: He came in with an average of 13.6% support to former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush’s 13.3%.”
