Shimotsu is more technically a "cho" or portion of a town, but there is an oil depot there today, which may or may not have a refinery. Maruzen became a part of Cosmo Oil back in the 80s, but earlier this year Cosmo reorganized and is now known as Gyxis.

JAPANESE LEAVE AUSTRIA

33 From Berlin Embassy will be Exchanged for U.S. Captives

Might be exchanged for General Wainwright.

Departed with this message from Pfc Michael Cipkowski, “You won’t recognize your country when you get back.”

I wonder if Wainwright would have left as a prisoner exchange?
