Scott Walker files papers to run for president
Milwaukee Journal Sentinel ^ | July 2, 2015 | By Mary Spicuzza

Gov. Scott Walker is making it official that he is running for president — sort of.

Wisconsin's Republican governor filed papers with the Federal Election Commission Thursday "after hearing from countless Americans" during his testing the waters stage, an aide said.

"While I have not yet announced whether I will be a candidate for President of the United States, I have received contributions of more than $5,000 within the last 15 days," Walker wrote in a Thursday letter to the FEC. "Should I formally announce, I will seek the Republican nomination for the office of President of the United States in the 2016 election."

Rather than filing what's known as a "statement of candidacy," he instead filed a "statement of organization" for a committee named Scott Walker Inc.

He is set to make his formal announcement in Waukesha on July 13, a date first reported by Daniel Bice of the Journal Sentinel.

"After hearing from countless Americans during the Testing the Waters phase, Governor Walker this morning will file his papers of candidacy with the FEC," the aide said in an email.

Walker is also expected to provide a glimpse at the first of nine pieces of the Walker for president logo Thursday night on Instagram, with a new piece being revealed each day.

Walker has for months been stepping up his travel around the country and internationally, and hiring political staff members, ahead of his 2016 bid.

Walker's plans to file Thursday were first reported by Politico.

I guess I ticked off a Dem when the other day I said, “The Democrats pride themselves on all voting for one person basically, Hillary. Really it’s just a lack of persons they can run.”

I mean, who have they got besides the old battleax or the socialist creep?

Scott Walker welcomes Barack Hussein Obama in Wisconsin!

I hope there will be no hugs ala Christie!

Hillary is a corrupt, lying sack of socialism. The New York Magazine believes Obama is going after Walker to elevate him to the top of the ticket - and that way Hillary can win.

Jonathan Chait Obama Picks a Labor Fight With Scott Walker

"Two days ago, report Edward-Isaac Dovere and Sarah Wheaton, President Obama organized a conference call for former advisers. The president informed them that securing the administration’s legacy requires electing a successor (i.e., Hillary Clinton) who will cement rather than roll back his accomplishments. “Much in the same way that the Reagan Revolution required Bush Senior” to cement the legacy of a truly transformative president, Obama reportedly said, “we’ve got to make sure that we’re laying the foundation ... less for our benefit and more to create the political climate going into the next election so the agenda that we’ve set continues.” Meanwhile, today Obama is heading to Madison, Wisconsin, to unveil his administration’s new rule to make overtime available to 5 million new Americans earning up to $50,000 a year. “The contrast between our approach on economic issues and the governor’s is emblematic of the contrast between the president and the Republican Party at large,” an aide tells Dovere.....

[SNIP]

The Obama administration is hardly hiding the political undertones of their announcement. The location and subject matter of the president’s speech are obviously designed to draw maximum ideological contrast between himself and Walker. The likely effect of such a trip will surely be to elevate Walker’s profile as the anti-Obama, rallying conservatives to his side, thus boosting his prospects of winning the nomination — and, if you share the horse-race analysis of fretful GOP consultants, elevating Clinton’s chances of winning in 2016. Maybe that isn’t an accident."

We better want some mercenaries in our foxhole. This is a battle we’re in.

Hillary and the msm aren’t going to recognize or follow any rules in her campaign.

Like the Pubs they have many names that have filed the FEC Form 2. Most won’t have a
snowballs chance in hades of winning but they have filed. Over 100 Pubs and over 70 Dems.

Exclusive — Reagan Biographer Firm Signs on for Communications, Strategy for Scott Walker Super PAC

http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2015/04/23/exclusive-reagan-biographer-firm-signs-on-for-communications-strategy-for-scott-walker-super-pac/

“....“We’re delighted to join this fantastic team working on behalf of Governor Walker,” said Banister, President of SBPA. “His refreshing approach to important national issues, shows Governor Walker is a strong leader who is truly unintimidated by powerful political forces and the Washington-knows-best-mentality that often leaves behind the best interests of the American people. We gladly join him in this fight.”

“One of the hallmarks of SBPA is we only work with people with whom we agree and we not only agree with Governor Walker, we admire him,” Shirley said in an emailed statement to Breitbart News. “He is a conservative, he is honest, ethical, tough and principled. We are proud of our new association with Governor Walker.”

The firm has been active in the conservative movement since 1984, helped Reagan’s re-election, has represented groups like the National Rifle Association, Tea Party Patriots, the Club For Growth, and more. Instead of focusing on mainstream media efforts, Shirley & Banister focuses much of its resources on new media like conservative online media, talk radio and other grassroots-centered materials–yet another sign that Walker doesn’t care about the Washington establishment way of doing things....”

This is definitely not a good development, but what if he’s on the payroll to take down Jeb? That’s Walkers competition. We shall see. I’d like to not see this guy there, but we have no idea where this campaign season is going at this point.

Jeb is in it to move the ball far left to make the moderate squish RINO’s look more appealing IMO... They want a Walker/Rubio ticket...not a Jeb one...he’s a guaranteed loser.

I don’t imagine they will hug.

But this is Walker’s state and he will not shy away from meeting Obama.

Obama’s coming to bribe voters to vote for the Democratic Party ticket and call Walker out for his policies.

Walker: “I’m your huckleberry.”
