There is much truth to this. Can we bring attention to this disparity of justice by simply fading away? Or is Truth better served by screaming and fighting to the last man?

No elected official is required to give up her Constitutional rights. I remember not so long ago that some leftist chick named Lois Lerner - she was not required to give up her 5th Amendment rights as an appointed official.

Given her statements of faith, I imagined she prayed quite hard over this. If she felt led to resign, who are we to argue?
Maybe God needs some of both....some popular, locally beloved officials to resign in a big, public way, and some to dig in and carry forward fighting the big, public lawsuits as they roll in.
Someone with less conviction will replace her but I wish I had a job to offer her.

The thing is siince she is THE clerk and her signature is on that legal document. She is in effect endorsing the marriage. Read Romans 1:31-32.

I have a friend in NM who quietly resigned as County Clerk as soon as ssm was “blessed” by the state. She would/could not have her signature on such licenses.
