You parallel my thoughts exactly.

I don't read the newspaper or watch any local TV news. So all of my news is generally from Free Republic and the links on the Drudge Report. Between the two online sources, I get any news I would ever care to get. And I get it faster than Fox News. I am appalled sometime that people like O'Reilly brag about not being on the internet but in the same moment, not know what's going on out in the world except what his producers feed to him.

I guess the world is not perfect and never has been. But I realize now that I am on the downhill slide of history and my life. I am not out of touch so much as I am not interested in the new stuff. I don't like it. I don't believe in it. Everything is "Black Lives Matter" or microaggressions or white privilege or gay pride or transgender bathrooms or climate change is killing the planet or serial, congenital lying politicians or political correctness everywhere, including the military where it should not have a place or assaults on the Christian religion or gun control or making a deal with Iran so they can have nuclear weapons and on and on and on. The world is upside down and a completely different place than when I was growing up and raised my family.

Now, I am kind of glad that I will more than likely be six feet under when the sh*t hits the fan big time. I don't want to live in a world who's future looks dim.

Any of you guys remember the old days, when Motel 6 was so named, because that was the price of a room at most of their locations.

Being a cheapskate, I reckon I’ve stayed at more Motel 6’s than any other motel.
Haven’t stayed at that one, but have stayed at the one on the east side a few times, and the one on Caesar Chavez ONCE, Only Once, That one was the worst I have ever stayed in on either coast or in between.

Well put, Hot Hunt.

I think we're not alone in a multitude of sane, thinking folks who are starting to turn to alternatives to escape the constant hammering on our brains from too many TV freaks, clowns, obnoxious, slick carny spielers with alien ideologies and just plain subversive anti-Americans....voluble, entrenched media moles who have discovered that a compliant media, especially a sensation-seeking, ratings-seeking TV media will hire them, PAY THEM EXORBITANTLY and eagerly provide them with a vast platfrom to propagandize and to destroy our culture and economic well-being.

Yes, Virginia....it WILL happen from within...and it's ALREADY happening, in spades.
