Supremes: citizenship not necessary for voter registration
The American Thinker ^ | 6-30-15 | Newsmachete

Posted on 07/01/2015 2:58:14 AM PDT by afraidfortherepublic

In a commonsense decision, the Supreme Court refused to hear an appeal of a case that decided that people registering to vote in federal election don't have to prove their citizenship. That means that people registering to vote won't be bullied into proving citizenship, which now seems to be an irrelevant criterion for voting.

“I am very pleased, obviously,” said Dolores Furtado, president of the Kansas chapter of the League of Women Voters. “It’s a good feeling because we’re truly trying to help” people get registered to vote.

Furtado said the league’s main interest is in increasing participation in the democratic process “rather than trying to make more hoops, more steps, to go through.”

I agree with Furtado. How fair is it when some of the people in America are allowed to vote and some are not? We should all be allowed to vote. The League of Women Voters is especially concerned about this, because many women in the U.S. from Mexico, Nicaragua, Syria, and Iraq don't currently enjoy the right to vote as American women do. But women are women; they all have the same body parts and according to the liberals the same political views, so why shouldn't all of them be allowed to vote?

But where is the League of Men Voters on this? Illegal aliens are sometimes men, too. Who is to speak for them?

And why isn't there yet a League of Transgendered Voters? Who will speak for the tens of people who have no voice?

States need to investigate all registered voters to verify citizenship, since we cannot do that as a prerequisite to registration. It’s a step in the direction of bigger government, so it’s a victory for liberals, but it’s better than giving up meaningful elections.

Global America - open to all the refuse of the world.

They strive to leave their dictatorships, oppressive governments - all the anarchies of this world to come to America for a better life in a nation of laws and the respect for them.

What they bring with them, unfortunately, dooms their new home and condemns it to that which they left.

As a sovereign nation, we will not recover from this.

The Supreme Court pretty much destroyed any (however slight) chance there was to save the US with these recent decisions.

The worst one is that decision that communities can't stop housing that causes racial discrimination, even if that was not the intent of the zoning laws!

So anyone can come in and turn that abandoned McMansion into a rooming house. Or build low-income high density housing where ever they want. The result will be urban blight spreading to every community in the US....there will be nowhere safe to live!

How fair is it that banks have so much money in their vaults?
I think that I should just be allowed to walk into any bank vault and take as much money as I want.

Fine. Then I can vote in any election I want. What about conservatives flooding the NYC polling places? California? How about Florida.

Only if you register to vote using the federal registration form.

For state and local elections that registration can ask whatever they want. So picture this, a voter goes in to vote and immediately get separated into 2 lines. One for those that registered using the state form (they can vote in federal, state, local elections) and those that registered using the federal form (they can only vote in the federal election). Tell me that voter won’t be a flippin’ when they get told they can’t vote for their state and local reps.

Anyone not a legal US citizen attempting to vote in any US election (at any level) should be shot on the spot.

Criminal Invaders have only one right: to get the hell out of our country!

Obviously, this means that anyone who wants to vote in U.S. elections can and will.

The Corruption of the Supreme Court is staggering.

“States need to investigate all registered voters to verify citizenship, “
Of course the States do not have enough money to do so. Conservative groups generally have to take the initiative and spend their own resources on this type of thing.

Thats not a bad idea... anyone can go vote now, no questions asked. That doesn't mean the state can't decide which ones to count if they can't verify citizenship or residency. It may delay results for a couple of months, but that's a small price to pay to stop the takeover of our nation.

I know... dream on, right?

SCOTUS took huge steps towards rendering the states irrelevant in this term.

We become inured to the constant stream of bizarre "reasonings" of the Supremes, who function oblivious to facts, shunning logic, and common sense, and most especially the Constitution as they pretzel themselves into pulling one judicial decision after another from their ass.
This particular SCOTUS brain fart supports the Vast Demmunist Election Stealing Operation, the Vote Manufacturing Division, not be confused with the Conservative Vote Suppression Wing as exemplified by the corrupt political activity of the IRS and Lois Lerner, and the efforts to disenfranchise the military vote.
The federal government is criminally rigged.

This just means we all need to register to vote 100 times each. Democrats are registering illegal aliens, the dead, and making people up. Fight fire with fire.

Heck. The recent Hastert case proves that you are not even allowed to access your own money.

SCOTUS took huge steps in rendering THEMSELVES irrelevant in this term. Remember Milwaukee's Sheriff David Clarke, when asked to comment upon the recent SCOTUS decisions. He used 2 new R words when asked to predict what was to come -- RAGE and REVOLT.
