For whatever reasons, our neighbors are unwilling to contest the decisions being imposed upon us by our clear societal adversaries.

I personally am surrounded in every aspect of my existence by supporters of these crazy people. My boss and others at work are aspects of the new legalized insanity.

I am getting too old to be fully engaged.

Just as in Viet Nam, we did not lose, we just surrendered.

That alone is a sin before God.

We would obtain a better result if we called a convention of old ladies with knitting needles to every town square in the country.

Keep them entertained 24 hours a day for about 2 months. No escape to Canada this time.

Any country that would allow the likes of Ginsberg, Kagan, Sotamayor etc. to rule over them by judicial fiat Is gasping the last breaths of a dying nation.

Jim, Our elected reps already have the tools to stop the judicial tyranny: Congress has the power to Impeach/remove Judges and the power to control what issues the Court can hear. IMHO More Amendments at this time on them is a waste of time because one, they will rule on how they apply and 2 without the will power of the ones who have the authority to enforce the power the People already have over them its going nowhere.

To be effective there needs to be removal of the bad judges, a direct action we already have the power to do. Yet not one mention of this by our reps...

Art. V convention is a fantasy that will happen next Nevuary. By that time it’ll all be over. We need incremental steps to choke off the Leviathan. Things a POTUS and Congress can immediately implement.

1. End civil forfeiture.

2. End Administrative Law

3. Bring all rulemaking back to the House/Senate for an up down vote. (That will kill new regs)

4. Close down DOEnergy and DOEducation by crediting the states the proportional budget of each department. (cash starved local and state governments will jump on that)

That’ll be the first 30 days.

Thanks for posting Jim. Article V Now!

For those who think the Article V process is too risky, I ask, "What other options do you see?"

To summarize from a previous post by GraceG:

1. Elect More Republicans - Failed due to RINO/Uni-party confluence.

2. Article V Convention of States to propose Amendments - Needed to try to take power from the federal government back to the states and reel in the federal leviathan.

3. State Nullification - Last ditch effort to try to take power back from the federal monster, though by this point it may be too late.

4. State Secession - Could either end up peaceably like the breakup of the Czechoslovakia in 1993 or a brutal:

5. Civil War II like the first one.... The longer we wait on #2, the more likely #3, then #4 and finally #5. .

So, do we do nothing and just wait for # 5?

Quick review: We need 34 states to pass an application, then Congress shall, by law, call a Convention of States as soon as it receives applications from 2/3 of the State Legislatures. That's 34 states. (So far both legislative chambers of 4 States, {Alabama, Alaska, Florida and Georgia}, have completely passed their resolutions and 36 state legislative chambers or bodies have filed or passed resolutions.) Amendments are proposed and voted on at the convention. Each Amendment must be ratified by ¾ of the states in order to become part of the US Constitution. That’s 38 states.

Most FReepers are aware of these links, but I post anyway for review and for people new to Article V. It is our responsibility to make Article V the most understood aspect of the US Constitution.

To be frank this is way too late and the majority of people in the country are not for it and do not have a fight in it. Sucks to say it but that is the way things are.

Well, it’s not like court craziness has caught America by surprise. It was being complained about 200 years ago, and still the only (toothless) Constitutional remedy is impeachment. The Founders, bless all their hearts, were optimistic that the new America would conduct itself in good character. But even George Washington was discouraged to see what happened when actual fallen men took the helm.

Well better 2 centuries late than never... something more than impeachment is needed as a Constitutional brake on crazy courts. Several possibilities have been suggested. Congress could override with supermajority of both houses (Bork amendment). Judicial retention elections. Patches for specific issues.

1) Mark Levin has been promoting Article V for a year or so. He’s right.

2) It will fail. Fedzilla will happily ignore any amendments passed that way, just as they currently ignore the existing Constitution, and its 27 Amendments.

3) We must do it anyway: to rouse the population, and to show that we tried every legal, peaceful means of restoring the Republic.
