The Definitive and Final Ranking of All 50 States
Thrillist ^ | June 30, 2015

50. Florida When putting together a list such as this, there can be some temptation to defy popular expectations, and go against the grain. However, Florida’s awfulness resume is so staggeringly impressive that it couldn’t go any other way. You were born for this. Embrace it.

49. Delaware Dogfish Head, one of the most enduring jokes from Wayne’s World, and… that about covers it. Even people from Delaware don’t really fight back all that hard when you make fun of Delaware.

48. Ohio Getting LeBron back only further cemented its position as the Florida of the North.

Well they did say that Michigan’s upper peninsula is a secret 51st state.

What a bunch of meaningless, unfunny gibberish. The author is pretty impressed with his wit.

That makes one of him.

“16. Alaska America’s greatest remaining expanse of truly unspoiled wilderness and judgment-free opportunities to hunt wolves with spearguns via helicopter. Watch out for rogue bears and/or Palins.”

Ah-huh...

Idaho - The gun America is menacingly pointing at Canada! It seems kind of unfair that many Americans simultaneously adore potatoes and mock Idaho for farming so many potatoes. It’s just hard to get fired up about the state’s progress as a hub for semiconductor manufacturing, ya know?

I get it. The real problem is that it's really hard to fit "The State Where You Can Dispose Of A Body For Fifty Bucks And A Twelve-pack" onto the license plates.

I only agree with Florida. It is the absolute worst state I have ever been too. Way too hot. Too many bugs. Too many old people. Horrible drivers. Way too many lines, especially at the "theme" parks. Restaurant food mostly awful. Low paying jobs. Scummy motels and long haired hippie freaks.

I can go on and on and on about the hellhole that is Florida.

New York should be at the top of the list but they were number 13 or something like that so I won't complain.

it’s beautiful from where I sit, too. The Spaniards named it Florida (Flowery) for good reason. Some people up north are just jealous, especially when all they see in the winter are grey trees and brown grass (if they are lucky that the dirty snow and ice have temporarily melted). In Florida, people are happier and friendlier than up north.

If you travel to tourist spots littered with other New Yorkers and NJers, what can you expect? Coney Island, I guess.

We've got beaches too but we don't have fish and lizards that can kill you.
