I am for Cruz all the way. But I have seen people like Trump my whole life. In the end they are not worth your time. It is a distraction and counterproductive to be considering him as a legitimate option in my opinion.

I don’t fault people for thinking he offers a fresh perspective, but he’s not saying anything I haven’t ever said myself. He’s just not needed in my opinion.

That said, we each have an opinion and I respect any other conservative’s opinion. That doesn’t mean I have to agree with - or trash it.

“But I have seen people like Trump my whole life.”

Most of us have not been able to closely observe billionaires, so we are left out of that perspective.

But when you or I say it, how many people hear us?

And THAT’S the point.

There is no way I want Trump for president, but I welcome his megaphone supporting ideas that Cruz has been espousing.

Your statements are no less relevant than Trumps', but by virtue of his celebrity when he says them they are heard by millions. That's an important difference.

Think about this odd couple. Both Trump and Cruz are intelligent and successful. They both speak their minds and love their country. Trump brings how to succeed in business and how to keep his issues in the public eye. Cruz brings how to succeed in Judicial matters and knowledge of how bad it is inside DC.

They'll both slam all the rest in the debates (except maybe Rand Paul who can take heat). If they'll grab the attention of the US and undo some of the damage from Obama, why not work together?

I don't understand how NBC can show such a preference against Trump's political views when they're supposed to at least pretend to be objective. Maybe this combination can push back against media manipulation of the political process.

I have yet to decide if having more voices attack the left is good or bad. It does tend to dilute the message so that no attack message gets out. That said, Trump so far is one of the few actually speaking the truth about the illegal situation.
