Are Key Republican Leaders in D.C. Being Blackmailed?
Townhall ^ | 6-30-15 | Wayne Allyn Root

Are key Republican leaders in D.C. from the Senate, House and Supreme Court being blackmailed? Tell me you haven’t thought the exact same thing? Something is very wrong. Something smells rotten in DC. Rotten like a dead fish left at the front door of a Congressmen’s office by the Obama Crime Family. Rotten like a photo of a Supreme Court Justice with his robe down at his ankles.

Because what’s happening just isn’t normal. Please tell me how it’s possible that President Obama and his socialist cabal suffered the most massive and historic defeat in modern political history only 9 months ago- and since then they’ve gotten everything they’ve ever wanted handed to them on a silver platter. Does that make sense to you?

How’s it possible that the GOP- the party that won in a massive historic landslide gained nothing and won nothing? Not one victory. Zero. Zilch. Or in a language Democrats understand “Nada.”

Not only did Obama’s party lose badly…they lost everywhere from top to bottom. Senate. House. State Legislatures. Mayors. Governors. You name it. They lost the Governorships of deep blue Maryland and Massachusetts. They were destroyed.

And it was all about Obama. He wasn’t defeated- he was repudiated. Democrat Senate candidates refused his help. Democrats would not stand next to him on the same stage. Democrats treated Obama like a New Jersey toxic waste dump. Democrats treated Obama like a rotten fish.

Since then…conservatives have lost everything. Name something we won or achieved after that smashing victory? Name one thing. Name anything. I dare you. I double dare you.

And you don’t think someone has photos of GOP leaders in bed with little boys?

Far fetched? Really? Think 2 words: Dennis Hasert.

Yep, if the candidate is palling around with the USCoC or falling all over himself for the Latino vote, he’s probably not our friend.

I would also look at ways to prevent them from becoming lobbyists which is often a reward for a final screw job on the American people.

Bart Stupak is a perfect example. He was the final holdout vote for Obamacare, retired immediately after and went to work for the premier DC lobbying firm of Venable LLP as a full partner.

Go back to the rule of the Judges in Israel. What happened?

An immoral and corrupt people demanded the Lord provide them with a King, since rule by Judges demanded too much of them.

Truly, there is nothing new under the sun.

I want people to ask one simple question. Of themselves and the posters.

If a candidate has an actual record of:

Getting his funding from people with agendas running contrary to conservatism...

Advocating ‘moving on’ after every loss to a liberal

Making excuses as to why we ‘can’t’ do something...

Regularly joins in on Gangs of whatever number to ‘work with’ liberals...

Supports causes openly that run contrary to conservative principle...

Then WTF do you people SUPPOSE is gonna happen when you send them to or back to DC? And why are you as a so called ‘Conservative’ supporting such a person? Obviously they are a Dem so the Dem ISN’T worse.

What? This isn’t rocket surgery folks.

That's pretty good. You are of course absolutely correct as to the rest of your post.

I've wondered if there is some parasite in the DC municipal water supply that destroys the frontal lobes of the brain and turns everyone inside the Washington Beltway into an emotional, moonbat liberal.

Some people are angry drunks, some people are happy drunks and some people are crying drunks.

There is a common thread with a simple explanation.

Cruz is the closest thing to Reagan that we’ve seen. And he is smarter than Reagan.

How exactly do you square that with your desire to ‘move on’ about homo marriage. Cruz is steadfastly committed to fighting it. So how is he smart, in your view?

Of course his is the correct vision. But you seem to be at cross purposes.

I wouldn’t the old man too short.

Yes, Cruz is smart but it is more of a different kind of smart. I think Reagan’s political philosophy was more mature than Cruz’ but I’ll take him.

This is why I've grown to admire and respect Jesse Helms. He could never be blackmailed, because he was a personally upright man. He never went on the Sunday shows because he was teaching Sunday School. Congressional staffers said that Helms office was the best one to work for in Washington.

I think most of the GOP in Washington has some skeletons (and a few ladyboys) in their closets.

I suspect some of these Republicans actually agree with the Obama agenda.

Bingo. You win the prize!

The GOPe fully supports TPP and is perfectly happy they no longer have to fight Obamacare and gay marriage. They don't view these recent events as setbacks whatsoever.

They are of the same cloth for sure but definitely different overall. In my head Cruz has the raw intelligence and pit bull aggression to act on it where Reagan has the wisdom of years and a ore ‘walk silent and carry a full arsenal of nuclear weaponry’ thing going/having gone on.

And we have to keep in mind that different times require different sorts of leaders.

True. I think Ronnie would still be Ronaldus Magnus today. But with the current 2 second attention span of the modern conservative, Ted’s in your face approach is probably the better approach.
