Churches and synagogues are under attack from various sides today. I would have good fire alarms, security system, and cameras in place in every one. I am surprised that insurance companies have not so insisted.

The first fire came late June 21 when, police said, someone set fire to some hay bales just outside the College Hill Seventh Day Adventist in Knoxville, Tenn. The church sustained minor damage. Its van was also burned The Knoxville area is having an abnormally dry spring and summer. We are in the first stage of drought. Yes if hay bales were left there {I'm assuming for decoration or landscaping} they would likely go up from a cigarette or if green hay spontaneous combustion.
A few miles north of Knoxville a few years ago a motel burned due to mulch they think. When I was growing up in the 1960's I remember several church fires in Knoxville within about a year. All white churches.
I also remember a scandal over a church fire in Knoxville. It was a church Reggie White was a co=pastor of. Reggie was a good man perhaps who trusted others too much. But this is an interesting read. I remember the scandal. Church's pastor sentenced for drugs, funds gone
Also churches are vulnerable to arsonist from Kooks who have some mental disorder and churches are easy lower risk targets. Most of them burn though due to undetected issues in the churches wiring or HVAC system etc. They can burn quite a while inside and not be detected. Gas leaks especially in rural churches happen as well.

The current sitting President of the United States is nearly 100% responsible for setting Race relations back 50 years. His policies, interference, outspoken defense of thugs, critiques of his own Police forces, bias, prejudging and general radical agenda have inflamed race relations. Up until 2008, things “seemed” to be reaching some kind of normalcy but the POTUS has caused infection and insurrection and that will be one of his many policy failures displayed at his Presidential Library some day.

Back when Clinton was president there were a rash of dozens of supposedly deliberate black church burnings. USA Today did an extensive analysis and long article about it; their conclusion was it was not a white or Republican conspiracy at all. But it definitely was mentioned in a lot of Democrat fundraising emails, and got a lot of air time on the networks.
Of course now this couldn’t happen. USA Today is far too far left to publish an honest assessment.

And Bill Clinton remembers as a teenager all those black churches being burned in Arkansas. Oh wait........
It’s hard to say what tickles the MSM’s fancy anymore as far as news goes. This article is the first I’ve seen or heard from here in Georgia......

NFPA stats show 1800 fires a year in "religious" institutions.
That's almost 5 a day.
15% are suspicious.
Nothing to see here.
Move along.........

Sad about the headline.
Predominately isn’t even a word.
They meant, of course, predominantly.
Headlines are written by editors. Apparently they don’t edit themselves.

They need these to make a pattern. Dylann Storm Roof (sic?) ws one instance. They need more, either real or manufactured, white on black racist attacks.

Pastors often burn their own churches. It generates insurance money for a money losing church. That their being investigated for arson tells us nothing about the perp(s).

Bill Clinton’s talking point of the late 1990s returns???
Recall tha Mr. Clinton had the FBI investigating a non-story of a “rash” of “racist” black church fires in the late 90s. This was the same time period when nearly 2 dozen Islamists were learning to fly airplanes in preparation of the 9-11 attacks.
