GAINESVILLE, Fla., June 29, 2015 (Dr. Susan Berry) - In a statement released Friday, the president of the American College of Pediatricians said the Supreme Courts decision to legalize same-sex marriage will have a significantly negative impact on children in the United States.
Dr. Michelle Cretella, president of the College, said:
[T]his is a tragic day for Americas children. The SCOTUS [Supreme Court of the United States] has just undermined the single greatest pro-child institution in the history of mankind: the natural family. Just as it did in the joint Roe v Wade and Doe v Bolton decisions, the SCOTUS has elevated and enshrined the wants of adults over the needs of children.
The College, which has members in 44 states and in several countries outside the U.S., joined in an [amicus] brief in Obergefell v. Hodges, the case that has led to the legalization of same-sex marriage in all 50 states of the nation.
In the brief, the amici stated what is often the case when sound research is ignored by the left when it fails to support their causes:
Despite being certified by almost all major social science scholarly associations indeed, in part because of this the alleged scientific consensus that having two parents of the same sex is innocuous for child well-being is almost wholly without basis. All but a handful of the studies cited in support draw on small, non-random samples which cannot be extrapolated to the same-sex population at large. This limitation is repeatedly acknowledged in scientific meetings and journals, but ignored when asserted as settled findings in public or judicial advocacy.
The College itself has maintained that a significant body of research has demonstrated that "same-sex marriage deliberately deprives the child of a mother or a father, and is therefore harmful."

What would be amazing is that the College could have seen it other. These doctors had to remain true to themselves knowing that any other conclusion would have been antithetical to themselves and the very sense of their profession.
PC evidently found these fellows a very tough nut to crack, and thus some common sense prevails out of the wilderness after all.
Physician organizations tend to be libtard. Don’t ask me why. You would think smart people would know better. This is big and she has brass ones.
Then there’s the shrinks.
Look at this crap -— http://www.livescience.com/17913-advantages-gay-parents.html
It is so sad-—the toxic culture will destroy the minds of many children exactly like the homosexual Weimar Republc.
They embed what they see and hear and it will affect what they think is normal—since anything they are exposed to becomes normal.
They are flipping Good and Evil-—the Bible proves it is right again...
Wisdom is discerning Good and Evil. (Cicero). They are making this child and many others devoid of Wisdom (like them).
Some of the worst terrorists in history have been medical doctors.
1. Separation of powers: I believe in this system, but when one power suddenly grabs much more power than it is supposed to have, and weakens the power of the other two branches of government, then something is very terribly wrong.
2. Here we have just 9 persons flexing power far beyond the power that they were given in the beginning by the founding fathers---for instance, like making laws when they are not supposed to do so---so that now in 2015 we suddenly have a Supreme Court that abuses its power that goes way beyond the concept of the separation, equality, and balance of powers.
3. To me, it is downright obscene for 300,000,000 Americans to sit around nervously and seemingly forever to learn what 9 people---several of whom are obviously very elderly and physically and mentally weak---decide what a law means or does not mean, a decision that could drastically change the lives of generations of Americans to come.
4. Constitution Amendment: I say we need a Constitution Amendment immediately to reduce the abuse of power of this group of just 9 people, who hold 300,000,000 helpless Americans hostage by their private parts, and not one of those 300,000,000 Americans can do anything about it but cry a lot.
5. Here is my suggestion for an Amendment: A Supreme Court decision may be overturned by a vote of 2/3 vote of both the House of Representatives and the Senate.
6. As I said earlier, it is obscene and sick that a group of just 9 persons can make legal decisions---many just 5 to 4 and 6 to 3---that can dramatically change the lives of 300,000,000 Americans for generations to come, and they don't have to be accountable to anyone. Sad.
7. Yes, the Supreme Court has suddenly spun out of control, and now many of us Americans become more sick with each passing day as we try to live under such abuse of power.
8. If you have a suggestion for a Supreme Court Constitution Amendment, please let us know.
I have a lot of Doctors as clients. Incredibly book smart. No common sense. Terrible with finances.
Children are sacrifices for liberalism. If they are lucky enough to NOT be aborted they will be destroyed by the gaystapo. If the gaystapo doesn’t get them the public schools will get them. I’m glad I never had any kids.
Agree entirely. I don't know if the court has always been this way, but it is so ideologically divided at this point that it's almost pointless to have them review cases. Seems that they don't make decisions based on constitutionality anymore. You can almost predict what the outcome will be, based on the political/ideological leanings of each member.
ACP is apparently a single purpose, tiny and relatively new group established in opposition to the AAP. It is in fact designated a hate group by the SPLC.
No question we know about every way there is to hurt folks having seen most of them but most of us stick with that Oath thing.
You know, I didn’t get that. Thanks for pointing it out.
Meanwhile in old Virgini.
Kids in 8th grade and up will taught how great anal and oral sex is.
