Escaped inmate Richard Matt was shot three times in the head and died from severe skull fractures and brain injuries, according to autopsy results released Sunday.
Matt, a convicted murderer, was shot and killed Friday by a U.S. Customs and Border Protection officer after nearly three weeks on the run while hundreds of authorities searched for Matt and David Sweat, who broke free from Clinton Correctional Facility in upstate New York on June 6.

How do you get 3 head shots?
The first is going to knock the person over or cause a lot of movement.
Assuming its a multi-shot burst?
Ah, OK.
And now on to another point,
I’m sure her hubby won’t be hanging around when she gets out.
“Im sure her hubby wont be hanging around when she gets out.”
Only if he wants to hang her, for real. But if she is incarcerated for umpteen years, he needs to just get a life and move on. F’her (or let the other inmates do it!)
He had a ventilated head.
“three shots to the head”
That’d do it.
)mm at some distance? Feel sure the cops were just filling the sir with lead and were lucky with three shots. “Spray and pray” rather than marksmanship seems to have carried over from US army training where so many of these cops seem to come from.
She wasn't the "think out" type.
She was more of the "put out" type.
I believe it was a “special” agent of the Border Patrol.
No,I don’t know what makes him”special”.Chomo only wanted NY Troopers on the hunt.
A triple tap is a lot more accurate when the head is resting on the ground for #2 and #3. Although I imagine a good shooter can get 3 shots off quick enough. Perhaps they’ve said, but I wonder if it was rifle shots with some time to take aim and shoot.
Not like the wounded guy that took off quick - so a shot to the torso makes more sense with that. It sounded like the second guy may have been shot with a pistol, as the officer was making his normal patrol.
He was a zombie.
Triple tap.
I see what you did there.
:)
Gee, let the riots begin on this CLEAR overreaction by the cops......uh, right?
That's what I'm wondering, and that's why I'd like to know if the BP agent was was walking forward while firing a pistol. The article does say Matt was shot and killed Friday by a (singular) U.S. Customs and Border Protection officer
Was just looking at some news. A tactical team went to investigate the cabin break-in. Heard rustling in the woods and a human cough. Confronted Matt in the woods. So I imagine that might have been lots of rounds fired when he didn’t give up. (He was armed with a 20-gauge shotgun).
The other cop was a trooper by himself - no rifle. He is a firearms instructor as well. Two shots to the torso. A witness said he heard “pop-pop”. Don’t know at what distance, but the trooper confronted the guy on the road, and he was shot in a field as he was making for the woods.
One of the articles had something like “trooper will not be charged for shooting Sweat....”!!!???
And we are suppose to care?
Good one!
I posted for myself and others who might find this account fascinating.
You aren't supposed to do anything AFAIC.
>>>He had a ventilated head<<<
Cheesehead? Didn’t look like a Football Fan to me.
