And yet Catholics have had their fair share of anti-semites as well. Look up Johann Eck. German Catholic theologian, staunch opponent of Luther and the Reformation, and a pretty big anti-Semite himself. Christians in general have had a history with the Jews that certainly isn’t to be very proud of.
I don’t dispute that.
It’s just that Luther’s teachings, for lack of a better word, were over-the-top anti-Semitic.
