Bye-Bye Second Amendment

Barack Obama and his party have made no secret of their desire to enact strict gun control legislation in America. Their efforts have been rebuffed so far by the American people and the Republican legislature. But that hasn’t stopped them from plotting any number of ways to try to restrict gun ownership through regulatory, procedural, or executive actions.

Those efforts are bound to continue, especially now that the United States Supreme Court appears to be open to reaching decisions based on political considerations and public pressure, as opposed to basing their decisions solely on the U.S. Constitution.

What does all this mean for the millions of responsible gun owners in America? It could mean the eventual confiscation of entire classes of weapons by the federal government. But at least initially it will probably be more subtle, the first step of a slippery slope towards the outlawing of private gun ownership in the United States.

Each county/each municipality would have one plus Barry would nationalize the Guard so there’s more: he could also use the military. So, okay, you’re making it out to be an individual fight. So who are your neighbors? Who’s going to gather a militia? All Barry has to do is declare firearms outlawed, anyone having any would be 10/10 as in ten years in jail plus a 10k fine for each gun. So the next person who’d defend themselves against someone (read: street hood) who laughs at gun laws, tries to do a home invasion and you shoot them ... all I’m saying is to be alert to what’s going on and have them hidden but easily accessed.

Well when they come for them and there’s shootouts all over the country, then ...

If it was 1950, I’d agree. But we have FLIR, GPR, metal detectors, sniffers, cell phone trackers, and variety of other tech gadgets to quickly find your guns and know that you were the one who hid them there.

I’m actually saying that its NOT an individual thing. They can’t hit us all at once. Once they start, each person can decide if they want to band together and fight (and risk death) or surrender.

On the other side of the government gun, each member of the military, police force, and especially the Guard have to make a decision if they will serve a fascist state or stand with their fellow citizens.

Who knows how it will shake out in the end (but I don’t have much faith in the people who will be the 17-45 demographic in 2020—see 10USC311). But, hiding your guns in the woods and waiting for that Glorious Revolution that will happen “one day, but not this day” is the same as surrendering.

I know that when I was in that age range and Clinton was president, I was in a Militia.

I recall somebody once saying “give me Liberty or give me Death”.

William Bennett Travis during the prelude to the Texas war of independence. I'm being to think it's become time to revisit Texas independence before I am too old to lend a hand in the fight.

First thing is if you bury them, bury them vertically. Then you spread small finishing nails in a large circle. Of course it's easier on a large property; an alternative is placing them in black PVC pipe and taping them vertically to large trees and again sprinkle lots of small nails.

This is simplistic. It's really more detailed but they're ideas. Those devices wouldn't know what they were looking at. FLIR is infrared so unless your gun is hot, temp wise they're no use and don't see anything but heat. The only thing they could do is fly over areas looking for metal but it won't tell them what kind and if they're hidden vertically the signature footprint would be very small.

Pick your battles and win the war. Confiscation would take a LONG time.

FLIR goes on drones that can stay aloft and scan large areas and see folks as they bury the weapons.

They won’t start the raids until long after the drones start watching the woods near concentrations of dwellings.

And if confrontation with a tyrannical government is going to happen the first book to read is Sun Tsu, The Art of War.

And oddly, two lesbian acquaintances conceal carry! (That I know of). Maybe it would stand a better chance if they were the ones to bring this to court!

Mountain folks have the advantage. It’d take time to get that many drones up and running and searching. Plus area of dense forest like where I live. Just as an example. A PVC pipe sealed on one end, a screw cap on the other. A dissembled M1 carbine oiled and vacuumed packed along with ammunition. The PVC pipe is slightly heated, the package inserted and the screw cap tightened. Bury it vertical. You’re looking at a metal object buried like three feet down with a diameter of say two or three inches (breech housing and trigger assembly) then broadcast small nails in a wide area,or not. My family has talked about various hiding methods and this was just one.

>>Mountain folks have the advantage.

They certainly do. They have lots of hiding places and the government will treat them like small islands controlled by Japanese in WW2—just ignore them because they can’t affect anything. So, they can sit up in the hills for years and be statistically insignificant until they die of old age or disease (because when they come down out of the hills, they are on the government’s turf).

I’m talking about the suburban and close-in rural folk (i.e the overwhelming majority of Americans who can make a difference). The urban people are a lost cause, so I exclude them.

“When the time comes that you think you need to hide your guns, then that is the time when you need them in your hands.”

If it’s time to bury them, it’s time to dig them up. I read that somewhere and remembered it.

“The Second Amendment has one advantage over every other part of the Constitution - it protects itself.”

Only if those owners pick up their guns and use them for the intended purpose. I am wondering how many Americans have the stomach to actually do that. I find the idea repugnant, but the moment of truth is approaching.

Obozocare will go after gun owners regardless, deemed a health risk societal menace so higher premiums, eventual removal, all part of power plan. Regardless supreme clown jesters have violated their oaths, lost all legitimacy, and the coming war on houses of worship historically is suicidal and it’s all hot from here.
