In his recent podcast interview with comedian Marc Maron, President Obama reflected on the passing of time. His daughters are growing older and have less time to hang with their dad. Ive got to start thinking, well, whats going to replace that fun, he said.
Good question, and it goes for the rest of Obamas life as well. In eighteen months he will be an ex-president, term-limited and out of a job. Just fifty-five, the former leader of the free world will still be in the prime of life.
Obama hasnt said what he has in mind for his next act. His options are virtually endless. What he decides is going to matterespecially to Hillary Clinton and the Democratic Party.
Assuming she is nominated, Hillary cant be elected president in 2016 without a huge black turnout. Obama will, of course, endorse her, but his blessing cant be lukewarm. He will have to go all out. In politics, that kind of an effort does not come without a quid pro quo.

There is something else that a President Hillary Clinton could do for Obama: Give his wife a job. Michelle Obama, like her husband, is on her way to becoming an unemployed empty-nester.There is something else that a President Hillary Clinton could do for Obama: Give his wife a job.

He could join the Roberts faction.
If FDR’s poker buddy can end up on the Supreme Court,...
That’s what I was thinking. Each time a justice hears a case, they have to write up a small encyclopedia backing up their position.
Well-they had a LOT of acting experience for 8 years, impersonating a US President and a First Lady.
They were NOT Academy Award performances... but you gotta start SOMEWHERE, I guess. :)
Obama hasnt said what he has in mind for his next act.
Yep. Barry will continue to do what he has always done. Read his telepromter. He’ll move down the street in DC or to NYC and continue to throw stink bombs at Main Street USA. One thing is for sure, the kenyan won’t fade away like a former POTUS is supposed to.
That's what the clerks are for. The justice tells the clerks what outcome to justify, and the clerks write it up that way. The justice can add his two cents, but the heavy lifting is done by lawyers and clerks.
But he knows nothing about the Constitution...? Oh that’s right, that doesn’t matter.
Could the end of our Nation be that near?
Only if he gets on a horse first.
He needs a “Road to Damascus” experience.
“Theres a lot more other places I wish he would end up when he retires.”.......
And the SOONER THE BETTER!
He’d no doubt vote ‘present’ on every case except those in favor of approving some unholy lifestyle or so-called ‘civil’ right.
He’d be the first SCOTUS community organizer.
The “smartest man in the world” isn’t even smart enough to be on the SCOTUS.
What he needs is GONE!!!!!!!
“Could Obama end up on the Supreme Court after he retires from the White House?”
Will there be a Supreme Court or United States long enough for that to even be possible?
He actually mentioned the S-G job at the UN three years ago. They’d at least pay a heft sum of income and provide housing pay in NY City. I don’t think Russia will agree on him being there, and he might have some problems with Germany. On the positive, he’d be thinking that he’d get plenty of TV interviews and still be mentioned nightly by NBC.
Michelle could be the first Secretary of Gay, Bi, Lesbian and Transgender. Or the first Sec. of Inedible School Lunches...
The UN Charter specifies the Secretary General cannot be a citizen of any of the five permanent Security Council members (US, UK, Russia, China and France).
A Kenyan or Indonesian would be OK.
He needs to be charged with treason or something so onerous that he will return to his h0meland of Kenya, never to be seen by another USA loving person again.
He’ll just move his staff including Jarrett to new digs. his staff can write all his opinions.
...SCOTUS jobs are REAL, LONG hard work,...
for the Justice’s law clerks who have to do the research and actually write most of the opinions for the Justices’ editing and approval.
I am constantly amazed that the secret service has not honored their oath to defend the Constitution from all enemies foreign or domestic.
I don’t think the Kenyan will end up on the supreme court.
