Because marriage is universal, it wasn’t invented by Christians living in the Roman empire or with various tribes of the world.

When a Muslim couple breaks up, who decides the divorce law? The same courts that decide for the Lutherans and the atheists, and the Hindu Americans.

Thomas Jefferson had a marriage license, and he dabbled in divorce law.

I ever said it was, but Jesus performed marriages, which makes it a tenet of Christianity. The advent of Christianity absolutely predates our legal system.

... or with various tribes of the world.

Of course it was. And their "holy man" or whatever, was NOT a justice of the peace.

The one with the sword. And islam isn't actually a religion.

Real Lutherans shouldn't get divorced.

the atheists

Atheists don't have Holy Matrimony, they worship themselves, so I guess they get to decide.

and the Hindu Americans.

Divorce in an arranged marriage?

Thomas Jefferson had a marriage license, and he dabbled in divorce law.

Good thing, since he also dabbled in Sally Hemings.
