You know this isn't really about the KKK, or the confederate flag, or any other bogeyman the left can conjure up. It effectively diverts attention away from the record of a miserable failure of a POTUS.

In the very same way the recent controversy over the Confederate flag is not really about the Confederate flag, but is merely a “test case” to censor the symbols that they’re really after, like crosses and Stars of David..... Pretty much anything but satanic monuments & crescent moons.
The trick is to influence a desired outcome by arousing emotions against an “organization” a majority of Americans hate so that any opposition to it would appear to be sympathetic to a hate group. These people are stone-cold hearted and bitterly political.

I also recall here in the last week (since the Charleston shooting)that the NAACP? or SPLC? was demanding that they needed better tracking of ‘hate’ groups. I read that here,on free Republic, so there’s a thread about it somewhere. I can’t work the search feature very well— I almost never find what I’m hunting.
