The “Pennsylvania Patriot” newspaper may think they’re patriotic, but shutting down dissenting opinion doesn’t seem to be true to the roots of the country. After the Supreme Court ruling today that feelings are more important than the Constitution and words have no meaning, the editorial board at Pennlive posted this notice:
As a result of Friday’s ruling, PennLive/The Patriot-News will no longer accept, nor will it pring, op-Eds and letters to the editor in opposition to same-sex marriage.
Then after a few actual patriots on twitter started mocking the Fascist idiots, they changed it just a tad so that they don’t look so totalitarian and stupid:

These unions are now the law of the land. And we will not publish such letters and op-Eds any more than we would publish those that are racist, sexist or anti-Semitic.
We will, however, for a limited time, accept letters and op-Eds on the high court’s decision and its legal merits.
The march of progress is often slow, but it is always steady.
“Progress” of course, is so weak and irrational that it cannot take any critique or rational debate.
If this is their idea of “progress” then have more in common with Communists — than with any patriot.
They did the same thing after Dred Scott.
Time to ban the newspaper.
The Pennsylvania Patriot has been renamed to the Pennsylvania Pervert.

Don’t doubt that they communists are not already trying to nationalize all of the broadcast and print and online media.
Sycophants that they are, the press would go along happily with it and would consider it no bigger a change than federalizing the TSA.

Just wondering if they banned op-eds in support of gay marriage when only traditional marriage was the “law of the land”.
Why is no controversy settled until the liberals when and then they want to shut down all dissent?

But they were perfectly happy to publish letters promoting SSM when it was against the law of the land.
The leftist ratchet strikes again. Challenges to tradition can be mounted as often and as long as necessary. Once one is successful, all discussion must cease.
Obviously, they do this with absolutely NO fear of consequence from Christian Boycotts or advertisers.
Until there is a real CONSEQUENCE for these actions, the left will continue to push, push, push.

All except the politically approved dissent. One of the reasons to uphold perversions of marriage is to create a facade that dissent is ok. If you sent in a letter saying that you should be able to marry a tree, they would publish that.
