I believe you are correct. Asians up two percent, 'whites' down two percent. Hispanics and Blacks remain the same. Thus the wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Forget this nonsense about judging someone by his character or capabilities -- it is all about the amount of melanin in their skin, or ability to claim membership of a favored group.
Here is the thing: these Tech companies are absolutely not going to hire people who can’t innovate. To embrace diversity at the expense of innovation would quickly result in their demise.
What might happen, is that they will hire a certain number of people with loud titles who have essentially nothing to do with their core business. These people will travel around as mascots .... or spend their daze looking out the window of their plush offices.
