One of talk radio's leading Republican voices says Hillary Clinton is the "prohibitive favorite" in the 2016 election, and in a new book, "The Queen, the Epic Ambition of Hillary and the Coming of a Second Clinton Era," provides some campaign advice.

Among his suggestions: if the nominee is Ted Cruz, don't debate him.

"Senator Cruz has won nine Supreme Court arguments, John. You don't do that because you're lucky. You win nine Supreme Court arguments because you're really, really smart. And I advise in 'The Queen' if he's the nominee that [Clinton] should simply reject debates with him because he'll cut her up muscle and joint. I mean he'll carve her up. He's that good."

Hewitt has interviewed virtually every GOP candidate and potential candidate on his syndicated talk show "The Hugh Hewitt Show". Talking to Face the Nation host John Dickerson, Hewitt weighed on the top Republicans in the field....

Winning an argument before the scotus is different from swaying a bunch of half witted low info voters. We shall see. Adlai Stevenson was a brilliant intellectual too. Remember him? That's my point.

Cruz is a Texan and wears cowboy boots, not an Adlai Stevenson.

Oh sure, he’d carve up Hillary, but what about Biden?

It’s not about being a brilliant intellectual. It’s about being a brilliant debater.

But yeah, our problem is not the candidates. It’s the electorate.

But Hugh Hewitt also said Ted Cruz is his favorite and he thinks Cruz can win the nomination.

That’s what people thought when they heard him.
When they read his collected speeches in book form, they found that he was an idiot and that the speeches stank !

I’m referring to Stevenson...NOT Cruz, who is brilliant and a great speaker to boot.

I expect that Cruz will win all the debates he is in.

If he is the GOP nominee I will be shocked if there are any debates with whoever ends up as the democrat nominee.

Some excuse will be offered for the reluctance of the dem nominee, the MSM will push the excuse hard, but the vast majority of the people will assume the dem is scared $hitless of Cruz.

Thus Cruz wins either way IMO.

I’m all in for Cruz.

I simply do not believe the gopE will allow Cruz to get that far in the primaries.

“This is not the fault of your tv set. We control the vertical. We control the horizontal. We control who will be the nominee. This is the Outer Limits.”

Wow, “The Outer Limits.” That takes us back to...what? 1967?

Adlai Stevenson was a brilliant intellectual too.

Was he, really? Or was Adlai brilliant in the same way that Zero is said to be brilliant. That is to say, was it a Leftist rumor...

Cruz is very likable. Hillary is a fuzzy teddy bear? Hillary? HILLARY!

Really? Why do you think they keep hiding her?

This is what the cuddly teddy bear looks like to the public.

Supported by a divisive and corrupt media.

“....If he is the GOP nominee”.......

There in lies the problem as the rino establishment hate and FEAR him to no end. While I believe Cruz is a great debater, how good would he be leading this country, a question we all so far cannot answer.

Cruze is one of two leaders on the menue of candidates. The rest are also rans or wannabees. Cruze could run the country as could the other stand up, Scott Walker. While I like them both, I think Cruze is the more forcefull but either one would be far better than any of the options.
