Three men and a woman were shot in and around an Upper Manhattan deli on Wednesday afternoon, the police said. At least one of the men is likely to die, according to the Fire Department.
The gunfire erupted just before 3:30 p.m. inside the Twenty Stars deli on 132nd Street near Madison Avenue.
Several police precincts in northern Manhattan have seen a rise in shootings this year though the 25th Precinct, where the shooting occurred on Wednesday, had recorded only four shootings through Sunday, down from eight over the same period in 2014. Gun violence across the city has increased for a second consecutive year.

What’s with this description of upper Manhattan? Other reports have said it was in Harlem.
Negroes, negroes.
Flag’s fault?
I just checked the map. Madison Ave. is one block east of Harlem.
Anything North of the Park is Upper, including Harlem.
MISS ME YET?
It’s considered East Harlem.
Wait...aren’t guns illegal in NYC?
132nd and Madison is both upper Manhattan and East Harlem. There’s been some yuppies trying to class it up, but it is ghetto or barrio.
Spanish Harlem. Probably an unexpected encounter of old enemies who stopped in the deli at the same time.
Harlem is on Manhattan Island.
...aren’t guns illegal in NYC?...
DeBlasio wants to make illegal guns more illegal. Makes sense to fringe lunatic liberals.
You noticed no description of the perp too?
Why, yes! Yes, they are!
Honkies, honkies?
I just took a nice pleasant stroll through the neighborhood via Google maps and nobody looked Spanish to me.
Hey, I am a negro, I know because I play good blues guitar.
