“Much more importantly, what does the Bible say?”
Jesus too allowed divorce - in cases of adultery - but He did not allow remarriage unlike what many Protestants falsely believe. Thus, what the Catechism says is in perfect keeping with the Bible.

Much more importantly, what does the Bible say? The words of Jesus:
But I say to you, Whoever puts away his wife, apart from a matter of fornication, causes her to commit adultery. And whoever shall marry the one put away commits adultery. Matthew 5:31,32
