Although it’s possible he was prior service and didn’t start at the academy until he was 20 or 21.

Yeah; I can. My daddy would have beat the H-E-double hockey sticks outta him. He was a WWII Army Infantryman sent to N. Africa, Sicily, Italy & finally, into Germany. He said they had a few homos when they first went into basic training; but they didn’t last long in basic. They were sent into battle to dispatch Hitler. Monkey business wasn’t on their schedule. Blazing across N. Africa & landing at Sicily & storming up through Italy into Germany was all that was on their minds. He’d have rather cut off his hands than to have hurt a child.

You're right, and Blue Lagoon is another example. That's why most people thought Roman Polanski's crimes weren't so bad - most reports just said he had sex with a 13 year old and people thought it was no big deal (they left out that he drugged and anally raped her).

I’d mentioned on several posts concerning the Academies that their Honor Codes are NOT in any ways consistent with homosexuality and other depravities of this type.
The Honor Codes at these institutions are dead.
They should name a military base after this guy instead of one of those mean old Confederates.
