I get into it with “the south was right” folks on FR, but I would NEVER get on board with this obvious canard. This is not about the CSA or slavery, this is indeed a naked attempt at erasing part of American history and is a front for an attempt at grabbing at things that have nothing to do with it.
I never argue about south/north - the matter was settled with the blood of 700,000 men. But both sides have a right to their beloved symbols of sacrifice and patriotism. Lincoln must be rolling over in his grave - after all, he always had the band play “Dixie” after the war.
