South Carolina seceded in Dec. 1860, followed by 10 other Southern states. As of Dec. 1865, the 13th amendment was ratified and slavery was banned everywhere in the U.S.

If the Southern states had not seceded, slavery would have still existed in Dec. 1865 and for decades thereafter.

Its all pointless destruction of history the very history we need to remember and better understand as to see to it that we never repeat it.

Every politician that jumps on the bandwagon should be noted as men willing to given in to mob frenzy to the point of the destruction of our heritage and our rights.

Such men and women should never be given power because they can never be trusted to respect to the rights of men in times of crises.

In the end a name, a word, a symbol even history itself never hurt anyone. only its memory serves to educate us on how to better move forward.
