Obama's trade agenda moves past key Senate hurdle

The President's trade agenda scored a major victory Tuesday when the Senate voted to advance a bill to allow "fast-track" approval of large international trade bills.

The outcome of this key procedural vote had been in doubt as a group of 14 pro-trade Democrats weighed whether to continue their support of the bill out of concern that a related workers' assistance package might not pass both chambers.

But after repeated assurances by GOP congressional leaders that workers' assistance measure will be adopted, 13 out of 14 backed the bill.

The vote was 60 to 37, passing by the slimmest margin needed to pass.

A final Senate vote on fast-track could come as soon as later Tuesday, and it will then head to President Barack Obama's desk for his signature.

Sent my change-of-party form in. Can’t do anything to help this party anymore, not even on the local or state level.

I’d like to take this opportunity to apologize for anything nice I ever said about them.

The “We can gain control of the Republican Party from the inside”[ers] successfully muddied the water sufficiently at the right time to prevent it. Now the opportunity has passed.

So I’m curious as to how long it going to take for the vast majority of CONSERVATIVES to recognize and accept the self-evident fact that the Republic itself is gone, and that we have single party Ruling Class dictatorship whereby YOUR VOTE NO LONGER MATTERS - and that YOU as a CITIZEN are being REPLACED????

Methinks most have a fatal case of Normalcy Bias and will NEVER allow themselves to understand where we have truly arrived.

Because if we are going to preserve what little remains of our liberty - then we would have have to accept where we have arrived and know what will be required to STOP our subjugation.

And it is NOT going to be found at the voting booth.

Yes, you’re most likely right. Orchestrated before hand. I don’t put any of them above doing anything underhanded.

Orchestrated, choreographed and manipulated.

Someone just suggested Cruz changed his mind at the last minute because he is “Human”.

I kid you not.

While conservatives were sitting on the collective asses being the smartest people in the room, the left took the government right out from underneath them.

If I was a liberal in 2015, I’d be laughing and crapping on everyone too. :)

It’s their game. They will always manage to find votes to pass. We, the people, are to be blamed. We’ve been dumped down for so long intellectually and morally by design.

It doesn’t matter who “Wins” - because we are learning that it does not matter who the hell we vote for, Marxist Fascism is now what America has become and the Republic has been replaced right under our noses.

Look at the speed of this meme to remove the Confederate Flag from display or sale across the country.

Then couple all this talk of how evil White People are, with crackpots like Farrakhan calling for blacks to rise up and kill whites - and the math of what is about to happen to us is not hard.

It’s just that too many American refuse to believe or accept what has happened to us.

And such is a fatal case of Normalcy Bias.

“...TPA in this Congress has become enmeshed in corrupt Washington backroom deal-making..”

That’s always what it was destined for. I knew that back when Cruz voted for it the first time. For it before he was against it.

The gop will be wiped out in 2016 but they don't care .
I wont vote for any of them .

Any Gop candidate linked to this Trade treason will be clobbered .

This fools were set up by the Dems and Barry the white hater will make the treaty a disaster of historic levels to guarantee a 2016 election tidal wave. Mitchy, Rubio, Bonehead , Ryan , McCarthy Scalises all need to be driven from power now.

Vote third party.
The Gop are more dangerous than the Dems now.

There loyal WSJ K street owners will get all there goodies,
cheap H1 Visas , massive foreign labor , new taxes , crony capitalist laws to block competition, global warming taxes,

The Gop killed the country when they gave this American hater radical unlimited power to destroy.

No, I think that Ted would have voted against this disgusting crony “capitalist” deal this time, no matter what. He has heard from us loud and clear. He should have known better the first time.

Any presidential candidate who isn’t actively seeking to purge ‘the system’ is either a part of it or stupid and not worth the effort. It’s not a matter of appointed this or that cabinet member. It’s going to take forcibly removing the technocrats, oligarchs, and so-forth. If one were to evaluate where we are, making all the connections, one would come to the conclusion that we’re destined for either a miracle, violent revolution (it won’t be a civil war), or slavery.

We have too many entrenched interests, too many sucking off the government teat, too much owed, and too much division to think this will all sort itself out nicely. Buy ammo and look up.
