Thank you for your rather rare words of reason. The flag is the battle emblem of an army that engaged in treason against the United States. It is deeply offensive to a large segment of the population of our country for very understandable reasons. South Carolina only started flying it during the 1960’s as a symbol of defiance to the civil rights movement and desegregation. There is no good reason for it’s being flown over public property.

If we start obliterating all offensive symbols and words from our landscape, we no longer have the first amendment or America for that matter. Like it or not, the Confederate flag represents HISTORY. It is a REMINDER. Destroying historical symbols is something ISIS does, and I see this ‘flag removal’ movement no different than what ISIS does.

But look at America now. What does this country now stand for? Corruption, political correctness, faggotry and moral deviancy. I haven’t flown the American flag for over two years now, because the America that I flew the flag for, and pledged my allegiance to my entire life, no longer exists. I don’t expect to ever put my Stars-and-Stripes out again.
But a Confederate flag? Yes, I just might.
This issue has nothing to do with the flag. It is a direct assault by Statists against the First Amendment.
