Perhaps spending so much time trying to be someone else causes the development of self to suffer?
Many of the more mundane tasks a computer is asked to do these days are automated, to be sure. But they are not driven by AI. Someone still has to program them, set up the batch files, schedule them, etc..
AI is a different matter. It requires a machine that's capable of "learning" and recognizing patterns it was never programmed with.

In 1964 our teachers were telling us about the coming ice age and how the world would be without oil by 1970. I was ten.
Our government was telling us with their duck and cover drills to expect immanent incineration. I saw only a bleak “Boy and His Dog” type future. Little did I know it would be made bleak by liberals regulating our vibrant economy into third world status.

There are selfish people who don’t want the third world countries developing energy or economic independence for fear they’ll wise up and demand control of their own natural resources.
By supporting the fraud of man-made climate change, he is unwittingly supporting a political agenda against his stated interest in helping the truly needy.

There will be no self-aware androids. No computer program can possess intelligence. No human will ever be able to write a program that successfully simulates human intelligence.
Thought experiment: can a human write a program that can conceive of and write a program that successfully simulates human intelligence?
