It will probably be there on your next trip to the bank.

I am pretty much thinking the Antichrist will get control of the direct deposit / credit / debit card thing.

Cash will pretty much go away.

Of course, I didn’t invent that line of thinking.

This is going to bite them in the rear end on a different front.

They recently lost a court decision in CA, where UBER was trying to maintain the pious fiction that their drivers were independent contractors, not employees. This makes a huge difference with respect to benefits, tax withholding, etc. Employees are always more expensive.

They can appeal and even if they lose in CA, other states may have different results, but one sure-fire thing is that the more control they exercise over their drivers, the closer the drivers come to being employees in all states...

It is wise to be armed where arms are 'not allowed'.

Basically, Uber can suck it. I'll used their service fully armed. Catch me.

Private business, the market will decide. Nothing stopping a competitor from offering similar service where guns are allowed. Or, how about where all drivers are required to carry?

I want to know how they are going to enforce that in privately owned vehicles...

Also, since Uber says the drivers are not employees but private contractors, should it not be up to the driver to make that decision? Have to check on the law to see who has the last say.

Oh, I didn’t know that the drivers don’t take cash.

I’ll bet this is more closely related to legal liability than hoplophobia. Anything happens and they can declare their policy was violated. Not their fault.

so true, and so funny - here we have a bunch of libs, start a company with a high tech software innovation and a conservative principle....and then not only do they get attacked by their own (the left in California - but they risk losing their entire business plan by cow towing to political correctness.

The aholes at Uber and Lyft have just announced to every criminal in the world, “Hey! Come rob our drivers! They’re unarmed!”

Effing idiots.
