Big first-year anniversary for anticapitalist, anticonservative, socialist Pope Francis. Fortune magazine ranks him first among the Worlds 50 Greatest Leaders. Tenure unlimited. Now hes in an ideological war with U.S. Senate Majority boss Mitch McConnells Big Oil backed GOP as well as conservative ideologues. At war in Americas unstable, endlessly fickle, myopic, rigged political arena.

Yes, Pope Francis is celebrating his one-year anniversary since laying down his anticapitalism manifesto for his army of 1.2 billion Catholics worldwide. Hes also been removing conservative cardinals and bishops from leadership roles. Hes hell-bent on changing the world fast. And his mandate is unwavering and unequivocal. Hes drawing clear moral and political battle lines against repressive capitalism, excessive consumerism, rigid conservatism. Listen:
Inequality is the root of social ills ... as long as the problems of the poor are not radically resolved by rejecting the absolute autonomy of markets and financial speculation and by attacking the structural causes of inequality, no solution will be found for the worlds problems or, for that matter, to any problems. Yes, it sure sounds like a declaration of war: The anticapitalist Pope Francis versus Americas self-destructive amoral capitalism. Bet on Mitch?

Where?
Pope murders and eats child.
Salvation rushes to defend him stating that the child would eventually die anyway, and since His Holiness did not use a toothpick it couldn’t be considered a true meal.
Hold on a minute, chief, I am not defending the cat. I am, however, saying that any mention of the issue being open to debate will not be the narrative that most American hear.
This guy is popular with lefties (even those with no religious belief) for a reason - they like what he has to say.
Very sorry for the misinterpretation! I agree!
No worries, FRiend.
This encyclical is another example of the Pope giving leftist media outlets around the world fodder for more government power grabs and control over the lives of people. Sure, there may very well be things that are good from the viewpoint of traditional Christians, but that is not what will be mentioned to the so-called masses.

I appreciate your pointer as to where it can be read ...
After examining five pages of returned links on Google using the search term "encyclical on climate change" NOTHING directly issued by the Vatican was seen.
I think this is all a big ruse ...
And I was vilified by several FReepers not too long ago when I said Francis was a Marxist.
Same here, he’s a Chavista through and through.
** Papal encyclicals are generally fairly long documents containing a variety of points about one or more issues. Some or all of these points are often about things that are beyond the scope of papal infallibility, dealing with things other than faith or morals, or being directed to some segment of the church. Traditionally, encyclicals are circular letters addressed only to the bishops of the Church. They tend to be discussions of some pressing matter at hand.**
