Another great comment: "Law dogs and bandits go hand in hand like beer and pretzels."

I stipulate that wearing a motorcycle vest does not constitute probable cause for arrest. Unless gunplay breaks out inside a family restaurant and nine people end up dead. Then, yeah, lock everyone up and figure it out when the dust settles.

Textbook example of leftist rationale in action. Gunplay breaks out inside a family restaurant where club riders in vests are dining, and nine people end up dead -- justification for overthrow of due process. Since actual "bikers" who actually wear those vests will fail to do any such thing became the vast majority are regular folks in their various clubs ... well, says a leftist hero, help it along! It's going to happen anyway, dammit! Don't argue! You want justification for ignoring basic constitutional rights, here it is, on a platter. Just don't look at it very closely. "Good enough for who it's for," as a wise man used to say.

Windows to the heart of leftism, some of these posts of folks like thefactor, as we watch what should be fiction, transpiring for real.

Plus the fight happened out in the parking lot.

Thefascist moved it inside the restaurant in his post to justify arrests of people who were eating food on the patio.

Then, yeah, lock everyone up and figure it out when the dust settles.

That's a perfect solution, except in a society that is bounded by the rule of law and a concept of freedom. That sort of society used to be found in the United States of America, but no longer. I sincerely hope that it never turns out to be one of you who are locked up without probable cause while the government lets the "dust settles".

“This was not a Bandidos meeting.”

It was a meeting of the Confederation of Clubs and Independents.

From the official website of the Confederation of Clubs and Independents: http://txcocinews.org/state-officers.html

State Officers:
US Defenders - State Chairmans
State Chairman - Bandido Gimmi Jimmy - chairman@txcocinews.org
State Vice Chairman - Escondido Paul - paul@usdefenders.org

The incorporating documents of the Confederation probably have all the legal i’s dotted and t’s crossed stating that the purpose of the Confederation is safety and legislative matters, etc.

Interesting that the President is “Bandido Gimmi Jimmy”.

Plus the fight happened out in the parking lot.

From which the criminal toughs and gunslingers could no doubt spot the SIX marked police cars parked in the area. But they opened fire anyway! Cops cleverly and thoughtfully poised nearby, ready to manage expected "tensions," jumped in and saved the day! And saved everyone they didn't arrest from bad-asses like Clendennen!

*sigh*

These words: Then, yeah, lock everyone up and figure it out when the dust settles were written by the poster known as thefactor.

The remainder of the post was written by me, finny.

Knowing that the Justice of the Peace who set the million dollar bond was a Republican, I am thinking to strike the word "leftist" and insert the word "authoritarian," because it is more accurate. Both Democrats and Republicans have their authoritarians, including those in Waco. This massacre-mass-arrest charade is somewhat about leftism in control and power, but it is authoritarian at core. BY FORCE. It means holding free people in captivity for 30 days on a million dollar bail, for being in a particular restaurant at a particular time.

The Law and Order Republicans believe that they will never find the wrong side of government overreach. Unfortunately, once the authoritarians get a little whiff of power, then you cannot predict and certainly cannot control the outcome.

No doubt that some of the motorcycle clubs in Texas are criminals, involved in murder, extortions, drugs, etc. But many other of these clubs are just middle age guys living a little fantasy and having fun. Locking those guys with a boilerplate charge and a $1 million bail is not a travesty, its criminal. When the government becomes the criminals, we have a serious problem.

Just a bozo on the bus, who happens to hold dear the liberty hard won by those who have gone before me, and who bristles at how lightly valued it seems to be - here, of ALL places.

Touché!

To paraphrase an old adage: Every posting should have a factual comment and a humororous comment and, we should be able to tell the difference between them!

What is missing is what Abbot's men and Obama's men were doing.

What about the UN blue helmets and the Chicoms FEMA has been stashing at the closed WalMarts? Where were they?

“If it wears a vest; you must arrest.”

First off I never said that.

In my own words, I would say if you show up at a meeting which could turn into a shootout between two rival biker gangs/clubs/groups/factions, wearing vests like they do, do not be surprised if you are caught up in the entire episode.

I have zero problems with motorcycle enthusiasts, of all law abiding non-violent types. I have known and know several of them. Even knew some true 1% back a few decades, including one who was killed over a drug deal in 1970 in Westminster CA.

Still know his wife. And 45 years later, she will probably claim she knew nothing about the drugs.

...we have a serious problem..

Have you seen the video on conservative tree house of Clendennan? It is really worth watching if you haven't seen it -- just scroll down the page to it. He describes an event that is mind boggling. These regular folks who ride bikes were really pushed to the limit. Most men I know would have gone ballistic and had to be hauled off and put in the rubber room, had they been subject to that.

Twice, Clendennen is rendered speechless, with grief or rage I can't tell. One jackboot licker here attributes it to his feeling such regret at "endangering his children" for deciding to play with the big boys -- you know the kind of "it serves him right" nanny ninny.

I attribute it to great self-control. All I know, is that I'd have probably gotten apoplectic halfway through the first night of having to continue to wear the ziptie handcuffs. I'd have lost it -- and as for being held captive literally for the next month, as some of them are? On a million dollars bail? Clendennen displayed amazing ability of keeping his cool.

I’ll go one further. Don’t be surprised to find your insurance rates go up when you start riding a bike. It’s still not probable cause to arrest someone and hold them on $1,000,000 bail.
