And they brought hundreds of weapons to a public place and a brawl broke out.

Sounds like they're Americans or something. Here in America our right to keep and bear arms is protected. I always have a pocket folder, a Leatherman tool, a .45 ACP semi-auto and sometimes I throw a shorty shotgun or an SKS in my car/truck. And a kukri. Gotta have a kukri.

Starting around 17:30 Atty Brian Bouffard, who is apparently a public defender in this case, summarizes the case in a way that even short attention spans can handle.

From what I saw of the news conference, it appears the allegation that bikers were approached with an offer to be let go if they signed a liability waiver may very well be true.

And that’s all well and good. But all you need is for ONE of these meetings to go bad. You’re tempting fate by bringing such a large number of these guys together.

Parliaments around the world tempting fate.

A vest with “Grim Guardians” on it is NOT a “gang indicator”.

And if the police arrested members of the Guardian Angels or some other peaceful-but-rough-looking inner-city group during a Crips vs Bloods “meeting” then you’re damned right I’d be screaming about their trampled rights. Especially if they were still holding them a month later on $1,000,000 bond on a “John Doe” warrant.

Do you really not know that there were bikers arrested who are NOT affiliated with any so-called “outlaw” club, or are you lying to support your argument?

Some of them are wearing vests under their suit jackets.

They are the ones who should be arrested...

I have heard that the people arrested may have also been wearing PANTS !

In New York City that would mean solitary confinement and bread and water. It's the only way to treat such scum.

Heard that as inconclusive. Jailhouse rumors.

I've speculated to myself that a slick lawyer (either side) may have made it up and floated it to simply test the water or pre-empt such a thing. Water over the bridge, at this point.

Oh good lord. Taking one snippet out of context and throwing it out there as a complete thought is pretty lame. It’s what MSNBC does. I guess you’re a fan of their work.

I see your point.

Interesting that it is still floating around at this late date, though.

Complete thought

If there were patrons in the restaurant who were not a part of these gangs in any way and they were locked up for almost two weeks, then you have a point. But from what I’ve seen in the pics and read in articles, those arrested were wearing vests.

In ALL it's gloty.

It is one hundred percent in context.

These are guys who ride bikes together in clubs.
The only club mentioned to be present with a criminal history were the Bandidos. The other clubs known to be present I.E. Cossacks, The Iron Riders, , The Scimitars, etc. had no criminal history to speak of. This isn’t debatable and you haven’t tried to dispute it.

Yet you personally assert the vests these motorcyclists wore are a good reason to lock them up on a million dollar bond.

It is a political rally and information tool...Quite like TEA Parties

It is my understanding that this CoC meeting was for members only or by special invitation...so it would be more like a union meeting than a TEA party in that regard.

Where is the list of club members who were not arrested? I’ve only seen a list of club members and non-affiliated bikers that were arrested.

Yeah, I was asserting that there's a difference between a family trying to eat breakfast and bikers who show up of a "CoC" for their cute little club and it ends up with 9 dead. (And yes, for the 100th time I know it may have been the cops who killed a portion of the 9).

There is PC to arrest anyone wearing a biker gang identifier, i.e., a vest.

“hardened criminals did all this right in front of the half a dozen cop cars”

and you forgot to add in a public place where there were innocent people present.

1. You can believe that the hardened criminals would never do so in a public place with innocent civilians present, but that the cops would? Wouldn’t hardened criminals be at least as likely to do so? Hmmmm?

2. You ignore previous accounts of Cossack - Bandido violence in public places. Just one, just the first one that came up on a google search, resulted in a murder.
http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2015/05/20/inside-the-texas-biker-gang-wars.html

3. What is it with the mythical, heroic nature of the criminal gangs? such that it is believed that they leave civilians alone, would certainly not take their grudges to a public place, etc.? They most certainly DID at Waco and that was not the first time, just look it up.

Disappointed in you finny, I know your due diligence is up to finding factual information such as the above, without having to be spoon-fed it by such as the likes of me.

Frankly I have become very tired of the rationale you posted, based upon biker mythology that the sacred honorable 1%ers would NEVER do something like that! ! I have held off responding long enough.

Servus, of course.
