How much has he donated to TEA Party candidates, you know the people who would actually implement what he talked about if elected?

Pragmatism is by definition, accepting the lesser evil.

He would do fine until he told the first union person to do something. And they said, “no.”

Can’t fire them.

Can’t intimidate them.

Congress would be much more malleable.

Like a lot of these clowns, he sounds OK to some. But in reality, he won’t get far.

UNLESS, he continually attacks the media and holds them to a standard the others are afraid to do. With his money and ability to brand himself, he might just pull it off.

"Go ahead and vote for the democrat Trump. Go ahead and ignore the guy that made two mistakes while embracing a contributor to the DNC.

Just don’t bitch once when you get what you vote FOR. A liberal."

Amen.

Strange days...

“Don’t get fooled by the Perot gambit.”

Not the same situation at all. Perot ran as a third-party candidate to split the GOP vote and kill off Bush. Trump, at least as of this writing, is seeking the GOP nomination, so he’s not a spoiler like Perot (that little ferret that gave us the Clintons).

If he were serious he would have seen what FReepers have seen for 20+ years. He would have funded and campaigned with candidates who believe in the rhetoric he’s spewing today. But he didn’t.

He’s here to hold the mushy TEA Party voters, stop a real conservative from threatening Jeb or Hillary and then drop out a la Perot. That he’s being taken seriously is evidence of the decline.

I doubt you could even build a textile mill in the US anymore. You couldn’t get it past the EPA.

Quite a sweeping, convenient and totally unsupported statement.

I knew families who operated sewing plants for several decades until the cheaper foreign imports put them all out of business. None ever mentioned regulations as the problem.

Their labor cost was around $10.00 per hour and plants in Asia were paying about $0.50 per hour or less, twenty or so years ago. And sewing is fairly labor intensive.

He's talking right on all the issues lately, but I just wish he was not so full of hisself.

He should do like the rest of the politicians and at least feign humility.

Thats where they all give themselves away.

The American people didnt want or need any government regulation in the Healthcare industry. I want it repealed and thats it.

He is a Capitalist.(?) I agree with a lot of what he is saying and I am probly parsing what he is saying and its probly just political rhetoric that he knows will win him votes......but if he beats the drum of ‘more and bigger’ gov’t he is no better than my distinguished Senator from Kansas, Pat Roberts, who touts the same line. (and I think he SUCKS!)

At least this will be mildly entertaining as he bulldogs his way thru some liberals.

"His 9 billion makes him a serious contender"

That, and his position on Trade and Immigration just might be enough to make him POTUS.

I can't think of a single incident where he cowered to the press or a Democrat.

Things are just crazy enough that he could emerge as another Perot.

...and the outcome would likely be the same.

"One thing for sure, if he does become President, he will be most entertaining"

I don't want a clown for president. I want a statesman.

We have the former sitting in the White House right now...going on talk shows, spending his time with celebrities, etc.

Wouldn't you like to see some dignity restored to the office?

How much was Perot worth when he ran? Likely as much as the Donald after inflation and if Trump’s numbers are legit.

The solution to America’s problems isn’t going to come from some ‘hero’ candidate or even from the President, but from us, in our homes, in our communities and at the state level.

Trump’s a fake. Don’t be duped. Watch what he’s done, not what he says.

“Is he pro life?

That is the one issue on which I will accept no substitutions.”

You are the reason we have DemoRATs in office. I believe in the sanctity of life, but I would not withhold support on that issue alone. Maybe you can “stay home” again that that’ll show em!

“If you are a social issues voter, at the end of the day I don’t think you can vote for Trump.”

That’s the problem we face today. The country is going/has gone into the $hitter economically and militarily, and yet people vote on social issues that won’t mean squat if we don’t have a country.

Same gambit, just earlier this time. Given Trump’s rhetoric, he’s siphoning votes from conservatives. That helps two people who represent the elites of their respective parties: Hillary! and Jeb.

Last time Perot delivered for Clinton. Trump is doing the same thing. Jeb is Democratlite and we’ll just get another Clinton.

Too many people see change as an improvement. e.g. Obama.

many will pretend to vote for Trump when what they are actually doing is copping out. un willing to make the choice of what is best for America, they try to assuage their own self esteem

He says a lot.

He said he was a Democrat; that the country must have universal health care; and that he would raise taxes on upper income earners. Are you fired up about all of that?

He also said his investigators in Hawaii had uncovered amazing things about Obama’s BC. Did he just forget to give us those results, or...?
