As a Minnesotan, I’ve been looking at what state I might want to retire in and get away from the socialism we have in our state. Nevada would be a perfect fit cause I have relatives there and I lived in Reno for four years when I was younger. After seeing this, I guess I’ll have to look elsewhere.

Check out Idaho. It’s not Nevada, but it’s nearby. Plus, the climate in some parts of the state would make you feel right at home. :^)

Yeah, I get it. We moved here 4 years ago and are trying to bump up the conservative leanings. Guess how that’s working out now. The electorate spoke last year and the “conservatives” took control of the Senate and Assembly. Sandoval kept his seat as Gov. and it shouldn’t come as a big shock that it seemed like the dems never left control. We love Reno and now can’t afford to relocate so we’ll keep fighting the fight. Reno, politically speaking, is an odd town. Lots of libs but also lots of conservatives. Strong support for the military and 2nd amendment. But lots of homeless. Don’t know how they survive some of the winters. Maybe they go to Miami for the winter. LOL! You could still come help try to boost the conservative rolls.

Nevada is MUCH more conservative than Minnesota.
Other than the wind during some seasons, Reno is nice.
