Disillusioned black voters ask: Is voting even worth it?

Jacksonville, Fla. — During those two electric Novembers, the chance to elect a black president, and then keep him in office, seized Regenia Motley’s neighborhood.

Nightclubs were registering voters. Churches held fish fries after loading buses that ferried parishioners to the polls. A truck hoisted a big sign that said “Obama.” And residents waited in long lines at precincts across the community.

But as Motley and some friends sought shade recently under a mulberry tree and looked across the landscape of empty lots and abandoned houses that has persisted here, they wondered whether they would ever bother voting again.

“What was the point?” asked Motley, 23, a grocery store clerk. “We made history, but I don’t see change.”

The answer is simple. Black voters were largely misled by a charlatan that they identified with because of looks who talked a good game but concealed a sinister motive. They have to be able to look at their future from a point of liberty rather than a hope for getting even with a non existent foe.

As for Obama and his nasty hearted wife, Nicole Russell writing for the Federalist hit the nail on the head when she said:
"Is there anything more burdensome than knowing you held in your hands a chance to inform, persuade, and inspire, and all you did was whine and complain, painting a manipulative facade of a life you didn’t even live?"

Not to worry! The dems will register you automatically and cast your vote automatically even after you’re gone.

[We made history]

Oh, that you did. It looks like the bankrupting of America and the steep cliff of decline.

Thanks a lot.

No, and you should eschew it at all costs. Plus, there’ll be cops there looking to arrest you on warrants or any “trumped-up” charge that they can dream up. Why risk it?

I've said It before, and I'll say it again: if it's racist NOT to vote for Obamao because he's black (though most who didn't vote for him did so because he's a Kenyan Marxist community organizing racist fraud), how is it not racist to vote FOR him, simply because he's (1/2) black.

To hell with all of these racist p's.o.s.

“Anytime you throw your political weight behind a political Party that controls two-thirds of the government and that Party can’t keep the promises made to you during election time, and you are dump enough to walk around and identify yourself with that Party, you are not only a chump but you are a traitor to your race. “ Malcolm X —said sometime during the early sixties, 61-65.

“We made history, but I don’t see change.”

He's right and wrong. They made history. They are in the midst of making more history. Sure a black man was elected POTUS. History! He will also be burdened by the OTHER history he has made. The most debt, the worst prolonged economy, the worst foreign policy and the instigation of WW III. He will get all the credit for the need for the next war Americans will fight and die in. And those soldiers will be fighting against enemies driving American built Humvees and shooting American made rifles. They made history all right. But I doubt history is done with his story yet. There is more misery to be recorded that he can take credit for.

Change? If you haven't noticed the change in this country and around the world because of this president, you aren't qualified to vote in the first place. So this FReeper supports this gentlemen's intent to never vote again.

We are all misled by charlatans, but many blacks vote harder than us.

I think its a good thing they don’t vote. If they can be led so easily to vote for the likes of Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Jesse Jackson, Ted Kennedy, etc they really should just stay home.

Not just black voters are disillusioned.

Elect Republicans — and get Democrat policies.

What’s the point anymore?

Yes you certainly made history; a bleak history for all people of color in the country.
If you should chose to vote again, please take the time and put in the effort to examine the candidates.
Not just their rhetoric, but also their personal histories and voting records. Check for at lest a few personal achievements in their lives. If you chose not to vote; much as I hate to say it, NO GREAT LOSS.
