Talk about killing the messenger . . . Mike Barnicle has blamed the New York Post for the fact that New York City has become less safe under Mayor Bill de Blasio.
On today's Morning Joe, Barnicle--holding up the front page of today's Post--whined that part of the problem is "the way crime is now covered in this city--especially in this paper, okay? If someone is shot in Times Square, or a guy with a hatchet in midtown is attacking people, it's on the front page." Boo-hoo. The fault, dear Barnicle, is not in the Post, but in de Blasio, and the way his reduction of stop-and-frisk and lax attitude have emboldened criminals.

Barnicle, the problem isn’t how the NY Post is covering crime. The problem is that crime has gone up under de Blasio.
Ping to Today show list.
Barnacle is a washed up old liberal.
Back in 1980 I put my wood boat in the water for what was to be a short period of time without copper bottom paint. A month later I had a 2” layer of Barnacles
I used a putty knife to scrape them off. A good technique. Might want to try it with Mike
I thought Barnicle had been removed from his access to media as a sorce due to plagiarism. I guess now days it is a resume enhancement.
Libtard logic goes like this, I suppose: “We should listen to this guy because he doesn’t know what to say”.
Nice metaphor too, liberals are barnacles on the American ship of freedom.
Yup barnacles or even worse...the dreaded ship worm. Captains would run their ships on sand bars and wait for the tide to drop. Then light a fire under the ship to kill the worm infestation before re floating at high tide.
LOL. Who says you need a Soviet-style secret police to threaten and intimidate the press into toeing the government line? Here you have Mike Barnicle crying about how horrible it is that the press doesn’t hide bad news for free.
Washed up former Boston Globe columnist who fled the scene after plagiarism charge.
Sounds like good reporting Mike.
