It really speaks to the local economy. Bay Area based companies like Facebook, Apple, Google, etc; tend to hire the best and brightest students out of colleges to work in their companies. With some exceptions, this is going to translate into a disproportionate amount of Caucasian and Asian people.

In other words, these companies aren't hiring a lot of people "from the hood" and people who have been living on welfare aren't likely to have the "skillz" that these companies need.

This is the kind of message that the Al Sharpton types need to take to their people. Or they can choose to remain part of the underclass. It's time we started having some frank discussions about race and how we are going to improve things instead of simply maintaining status quo through a large welfare and prison state.
