Yesterday, I turned to my husband and asked: Can you give me a thumbnail description of Babe Ruth’s accomplishments to somebody who just thinks he’s fat?
He screamed: You say nothing to a moron like that!
Seemed to say it all...
Actually I am more read on Ruth than most Brits. I KNOW he was a superlative player and arguably without him, baseball would never have exploded.
