The U.K. Independence Party’s only member of the British Parliament has criticized party leader Nigel Farage for harsh comments about immigrants during the recent campaign.

Douglas Carswell says Farage was wrong and mean-spirited when he said in a televised debate that Britons are upset by immigrants coming to Britain for treatment of health problems like HIV. …

The UKIP was the last chance for Great Britian to pull back from socialism and becoming a landing place for huge numbers of third-world immigrants.

Sadly, the British people have given up on freedom and Western Civilization. Their doom is now assured.

Pray that we do not follow their path.

Not the way the party has behaved of late. Carswell is just one example of their inconsistency.

Five years ago, the UKIP in its platform was quite anti-Israel too, demanding “proportional” responses to terror attacks by the “Palestinians”, as well as stopping the building of “settlements”, et al.

It isnt over.

UKIP got a ton of votes. The Tory’s now have to deliver on UKIP’s promises on immigration and an EU vote or else they will go the way of Labour and the Lib Dems.

The Tory’s majority is a last chance award.

The one elected MP thinks he is now the head of the party, and needs to get the boot.

In the 2015 Parliamentary elections, UKIP got 12.6% of the popular vote, up from 3.1% in 2010. I think Farage has done an excellent job against the dominant parties.

Farage walked the right tightrope -- he wouldn't discipline party members and candidates who criticized the homosexual agenda, nor would he toss openly (or outed) gay members and candidates.

In 2010 Farage lost in Buckingham (came in third), contested South Thanet in 2015 (came in second), and his political future is currently clouded (as Cameron's was until about halfway through election night). Farage has had his greatest success with UKIP's elections to the EU parliament -- but UKIP's been a non-factor in the EU parliament, making them look like an eccentric sideshow act.

By contrast, Cameron's making good on his 2013 promise to hold a referendum on the EU if given an outright majority in 2015. As has been the case for years, the polling against leaving the EU is a clear majority. Unless something drastic changes -- and it may -- the UK voters will keep the UK in the EU.

I know little about why people in the UK vote. I just see how they vote. It is similar to the USA.

People vote AGAINST someone who appears mean-spirited. Many anti-illegal voices sound mean spirited. From JD Hayworth in AZ to UT to IL; in Red states and Blue states, the voters don’t like mean-spirited.

In the anti-illegal debate, what is often missed is not that it loses votes among Hispanics. The real situation is that the anti-illegal candidate loses votes from PTA moms and dads who, above all else, want to be ‘nice’ and not mean-spirited.

The problem appears to be with those who profess their holy than thou humanity. Were they to be directly responsible from their own pockets, we would see a change of mind. They simply rely on the system to go on and on printing up money. I did some research as to the cost of HIV treatment in Canada.

November 24th 2011. Canadian AIDS Society. 1.3 million dollars per person. Total expectancy over 4 billion dollars for all. The number still increasing of infected persons.

If the system we support in Western Civilization, ever breaks down as in 1920's Germany then everyone is screwed. The money system collapsed and along came a little dictator. (pardon the word usage). Excuse the rant.

I think Carswell is wrong. I think the British people are very upset about being taken advantage of through so-called “health tourism”.
