Funny how Jeb wants his treasured illegals to speak English, but not his wife.

Will they be deported if they don’t learn English?
We all know the answer to that.

Jeb Bush rips Republicans for bending with the wind on immigration Uh, Jeb, that wind is also called the conservative base. Also working Democrats, if there are any left.

Everyone was trying to figure out why GWB was pushing for Amnesty in ‘07.
Now we know.
It was Jeb.

I have to wonder what the Hell he’s running for. He is making his signature issue the one issue where the base is 100% against him. Is this a suicide mission or is he that out of touch? Or is he arrogant enough to think that the Bush name, connections and money will get him nominated no matter what he says?

What is “earned legal status”? Where is that in the Constitution?
It would take a court 5 minutes to throw that out and give them all citizenship. Jeb knows this.

“He reiterated that he backs a path to earned legal status”
A path to earned legal status is to come here legally.
To: jimbo123
It’s political hacks like Bush who allowed 11 million illegals to enter this
country. Go Fk yourself Jeb.

He reiterated that he backs a path to earned legal status, not citizenship, but earned legal status. Where people get a provisional work permit, where they pay taxes, they pay a fine, they learn English, they work, they dont receive federal government assistance and they over extended period of time they earn legal status. How does any of that serve the interests of citizens?

we arent going to deport 11 million people, so its time to embrace some form of legalization as the only answer. Secure the border. Enforce the law. Let the chips fall.
Do that and over time the problem becomes manageable.
Establishment Repubs seem to panic at the thought of actually enforcing the law.

We know what’s gonna happen.
Dems and Latino groups will scream that it’s unfair and say Bush isn’t going far enough and Bush will cave.

I remember Ronald Reagan’s “Eleventh Commandment”: Speak no ill will of fellow Republicans. He not only followed that rule, he was also a great president. Maybe Jeb should figure out how to learn from him.

Who said deport all 11 million? I say, require E-verify and green cards before hiring and see how many will self deport. Oh, and close the border too. Make sanctuary cities illegal and stop government benefits to non-citizens. Then, stand back and watch them leave. Ok, Jeb?
