Josh Duggar is from Arkansas ... so it's totally cool if he dates his siblings. Back in 2008 -- long before Duggar's molestation past came to light -- he made a quip during an episode of what was then called "17 Kids and Counting." Josh describes a double date scenario with his then-fiancée Anna ... he ended up going with 2 of his siblings. Josh explains, "We chose Jana and John David. We thought why not, have a double date ... We are from Arkansas!" He then broke out in laughter. Not so funny now ...

Yes, because there’s nothing more wholesome than having a little girl discuss the specifics of how she was abused, and how she coped, on national television.

These little girls are people. Not props. They have lives to lead. How about letting them retain some shred of their dignity?

Benton and Washington Counties are definitely not Hix in the stix. For that you have to go over to Newton County, or up into the Missouri Ozarks.

My opinion is that they are NOT role models to look up to. I base this on the way this incident has supposedly been handled. This show is just that, a show, and I will bet the farm that when the cameras are turned off, they are very different people.

“Who is this guy and why do people care?”

Cuz he is Christian, in a Christian family.

They’re throwing stones.

Duggar is also human....like all Christians.

Undisciplined reactions to unsavory impulses are discriminatory. They affect humans only.

What’s in your ‘wallets’, stoners?

He was 14. I find it hard to believe anyone would consider a 14 year old touching a four year old to be something that is normal behavior. At 14 a boy knows that it is wrong to put his hands on his sisters to explore them sexually. I find it shocking that you think this is okay.
Look at your list of “benefits” and put yourself in the victim role.

Are you serious?
Have YOU ever been victimized this way?

Put myself in the victim role? I’m a survivor!

And as a survivor, there is NOTHING more liberating and cleansing than being given voice and shedding light on a thing of darkness, bring out the truth.

One of the biggest problems in being a victim is having to keep the ‘secret’ which makes you a co-conspirator in that secret. It’s a HUGE burden to carry. There isn’t a shred of dignity in having no voice, and in having to remain silent as though the victim were the guilty party.

The list of what you call ‘benefits’ are the very questions that each and every victim and family need to address and identify in order to begin healing. It’s the answers to these questions than can be beneficial to the healing of many.

Who would the sponsors be? I think that depends on the approach used in this issue. Are there any pro-family corporations out there other than Chickfil-A that could possibly sponsor HEALING? If not, then WHY not?

IS it possible to address this horrible issue and bring some healing to other victims? I think it’s possible.

What about other young teens out there who could be future offenders? How do we address them BEFORE they offend? Or do we just treat them like unwanted garbage just for opening their mouths?

And finally, from a spiritual perspective, the attack on the family is huge in this day and age of forced tolerance of sexual activity that goes against nature, not to mention the importance of open sexuality in our culture. Think ‘twerking’. Beautiful young women shaking their buttocks and crotches in the faces of young teenage boys and girls! And this is OK?????? But let’s not discuss a common event in families across the world actually, not just our nation that does injure and create long term pain for all involved?

WOW...just WOW....shame on those who want to gag the victims and stuff in the closet to keep them silent! There is NO dignity in that whatsoever! All that does is make life comfortable for those who don’t want to hear it.

I don’t know how old the girls were when this happened, but it is up to 13 years later which means that at least some of the girls are young adults now, and/or close to it. All one has to do is ASK if they’d be interested in discussing this. If not, that’s ok, and if so, then now is a good time because there are millions of eyes and ears looking to hear something on this issue.

You know who is having a great time with this? Homosexuals and their supporters. I saw a meme today on FB showing Jesus surrounded by little children talking about how Josh Duggar hates homosexuals and their show has plenty of little white kids. His actions have far-reaching effects on how people perceive Christians as hypocrites.

I am more perplexed as to why he has 19 children than something he did when he was a teenager. Are these adoptions? Why is there a TV program about a Christian man with 19 children? Why would people watch?

They’re not so much Christians as cult members. They follow the Bill Gothard cult, which mandates the length of the females’ hair, being covered (preferably) from neck to feet to keep the men from “temptation (hello, Islam!), and which lays a heavy measure of blame for sexual abuse on the victim.

Of course, that’s not surprising, considering that Gothard himself had to step down after 34 girls accused him of molestation and harassment.

Personally I’d love to know what kind of blame they laid on the five year old girl when they caught Josh Duggar with his hand up her skirt as he was reading her a book.

That went out the window entirely when their life was put on television.

There is a reason I don't have a television.
That the people who watch it lose more and more of their basic capacity for thought is one of them.

Josh Duggar Was 14 when it began and 15 when the last incident we know about occurred.

I don’t know about the cult. Just another Pharasitical religion, no doubt; and nominally Christian. But that small point is of no consequence in the hue and cry against “Christians”. It is the death of Christian morality that matters to the mob, whose consciences kick, and who seek solace in persuading themselves that the road has boundaries that may be moved by consensus.

There is no benefit to child molestation. No, child molesters and greedy fame seeking families thereof should not have a tv show.

You’re absolutely right about the leftist anti-Christian mobs. That’s why I think it’s important to understand that the Duggars simply aren’t normal Christians. They brought this mess on themselves by covering up what happened so they could have a TV show and set themselves up as moral examples.

He is a multiple offenses CHILD MOLESTER. We aren’t talking ordinary teen foibles. If he had been sneaking out to have actual sex with a girl his age all those times, that is more normal of a sin.

It does not matter what the religion is of someone molesting children. Anyone deliberately hurting innocents deserves the worst of punishments.

No one should be harder on child molesters who are Christian than others, but Christians shouldn’t be easier on him because of it, either.
