The misguided (imo) Pope seems to be overlooking God’s promise of Genesis 8:22 that cold and warm, summer and winter will never cease for as long as the earth endures.
What this does in reality, is shift money for the poor in the 3rd world to the Greens to enrich the Green Corporations.
Millions upon Millions will die as a direct result of this Pope.
Materialism of Greed and Envy have infected the Church.
The article incorrectly identifies the group as Catholic. There is no such thing as “progressive,” or “conservative,” rather, a person is orthodox or not.
Take for example, Catholics for Choice. They are not orthodox, quite the contrary. On the other hand, EWTN is orthodox, while SSPX is heterodox (they would disagree).
Religion isn’t politics, though they often intersect.
Are these “Progressive Catholics” the same ones who embrace gay marriage, abortion on demand, and other acts deemed wrong by the Catholic Church?
Perhaps the Pope could direct his attention to the Christians being murdered by the bushel in the middle east and elsewhere instead of this nonexistent problem.
Did we not once laugh at dead cultures which threw virgins into vulcanoes?

Global Warming? The Pope is Wrong

When the Vatican announced it would hold a conference on April 28 called “Protect the Earth, Dignify Humanity: The Moral Dimensions of Climate Change and Sustainable Development”, I wondered why the Vatican is not holding a conference to organize the protection of Christians—particularly in the Middle East—against the wholesale genocide that is occurring. The Pope is not alone in this. There appears to be little urgency in addressing a threat comparable to the Holocaust of the last century that consigned six million Jews to death for being Jews.
