If you oppose the passage of a federal law requiring background checks for gun buyers, you're endangering police officers and empowering cop killers — and you're not doing anything to protect the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens.

Uh, what? Are we repealing something? Looks like we want cops taken out. What a total piece of garbage this is. But, it re-enforces what they're really after. Shame on you people who "need" guns.

well seeing how easy it was for a SWAT team to pick off people like flies, people who supposedly were armed to the teeth, 200 of them, it would seem guns are pretty necessary in the hands of the people, in case the powers that be decide that martial law is in order.

There is no such thing as a gun “Buy-Back”. You cant buy back some thing you ever owned. Liberals can go to Hell.

"So “straw buyers” can drive to Georgia (or South Carolina or North Carolina or plenty of other states) from New York, legally buy five handguns for $200 apiece and (illegally) sell them in New York to criminals for $400 or $600. The price is always much higher where the product is illegal; it's an easy way to make money."

Or they could just walk over to Vermont or to Pennsylvania from New York. Why is it just the southern states that the libs use as examples of 2nd Amendment-friendly places?

Making "straw" purchases is also an easy way to land in prison.

This is already illegal under federal law, but it is often quoted. Nobody can legally go to another state and just buy a handgun and take it home. It has to involve dealers. Now, a Georgia resident can buy a gun on the streets legally and then drive to NY and sell it illegally.

Of course the "straw buyer" buying a handgun out of state is violating the law already. There is nothing "legal" about their purchase.

And needless to say since they are already violating the law it seems kind of unlikely that they wouldn't continue to violate whatever other ineffective, rights limiting law the anti-gun folks are proposing.

Hands Up, Don’t shoot. We demand Justice. There is no justice till the cops are convicted.

“Nobody can legally go to another state and just buy a handgun and take it home. “

A federal judge in Texas ruled just this week that that was an unconstitutional infringement on both the 2nd Amendment and the interstate commerce clause.

and at least 2,755 in the city's five boroughs have been traced to Georgia.

So 300 Georgia guns out of a population of 8,000,000 are recovered in NYC every year. I wonder how many are 'illegal' because NYC makes it unreasonably difficult to purchase them legally?

Dumbass.

I think it’s now up to 13 million in the NYC area. So, the number goes down more.

First thing I noted. No comments, therefore, no rebuttal.

Pure propaganda.
