A 65-year-old teacher from Berlin has given birth to quadruplets after a pregnancy that was widely criticized by medical professionals because of her age, RTL television said Saturday. Annegret Raunigk, gave birth to a girl — Neeta — and three boys — Dries, Bence and Fjonn — by cesarean section at a Berlin hospital Tuesday, RTL said. The newborns weighed between 655 grams (1 lb., 7 ounces) and 960 grams (2 lbs., 2 ounces) each. A spokeswoman for RTL said the babies stood a strong chance of survival but possible complications couldn't yet be ruled out, because they were born in the 26th week of pregnancy. Their mother was doing well, the spokeswoman said.

True, which is why I say ‘quite possible’ as the article is low on info.

Great trophies! I wonder, will she have them stuffed and place them on her mantel piece?

(Remember that only half of human embryos, OR LESS, are viable, so embryos are not people — they are potential people — for without chromosomal testing you can’t know whether they are aneuploid and thus could never become a baby. And as of today it is too risky to test frozen embryos)

So, you're saying that it's all right to destroy a petri dish full of embryos, thus killing the viable embryos contained therein, as long as there are also some non-viable embryos in the mix?

I guess that means that I could blow up a cancer ward, too - because most (though not all) of the ward patients weren't going to recover, anyway, right?

In your worldview, morality is a simple statistical problem, huh?

Regards,

I have a feeling this woman has a mental illness.
Feel sad for the children to be raised by a single mother who purposely makes children without a father. So dysfunctional.

I was hoping she was doing it for an adult infertile daughter/son. Sad that isn’t the case.
