Leaked Report Profiles Military, Police Members of Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs
The Intercept ^ | 5/22/2015 | Jana Winter and Jordan Smith

Posted on 05/23/2015 5:30:48 PM PDT by PapaBear3625

Nuclear power plant technicians, senior military officers, FBI contractors and an employee of “a highly-secretive Department of Defense agency” with a Top Secret clearance. Those are just a few of the more than 100 people with sensitive military and government connections that law enforcement is tracking because they are linked to “outlaw motorcycle gangs.”

A year before the deadly Texas shootout that killed nine people on May 17, a lengthy report by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives detailed the involvement of U.S. military personnel and government employees in outlaw motorcycle gangs, or OMGs. A copy of the report was obtained by The Intercept.

The report lays out, in almost obsessive detail, the extent to which OMG members are represented in nearly every part of the military, and in federal and local government, from police and fire departments to state utility agencies. Specific examples from the report include dozens of Defense Department contractors with Secret or Top Secret clearances; multiple FBI contractors; radiological technicians with security clearances; U.S. Department of Homeland Security employees; Army, Navy and Air Force active-duty personnel, including from the special operations force community; and police officers.

“What interests me most about this matter is the reasons that the authorities have and are going to advance for detaining 170 of what I assume to be American citizens.”

I haven’t seen the charges but from what I have read about the Texas Confederation of Clubs and Independents it seems to qualify as a RICO organization.

Here is your post:

“It may explain why Freepers vociferously defend the non-outlaw motorcycle gangs.”

I have never heard anyone use this reference before. Did you mean to say outlaw motorcycle gangs?

__________ did then and there, as a member of a criminal street gang, commit or conspire to commit murder, capital murder, or aggravated assault against the laws of the State.

Affidavit goes on to specifically name Bandidos and Cossacks.

My understanding of RICO is that there must be two actual criminal convictions within ten years for it to apply. 171 of those detained have no convictions per AP. I am not seeing how they can be legitimately charged under RICO.

See - THIS is what the uproar is about - The LEGITIMATE use of governmental power.

Is any of this penetrating? Even a little?

Dude, he doesn’t even pretend to understand English.

I maintain my suspicion that he is a troll sent here to disrupt by any means necessary.

I think you need to get some advice from Mr. Lester.

“Dude, he doesn’t even pretend to understand English.”

I am sorry. All I asked was what you meant by ‘non outlaw motorcycle gang’.

Never heard that before and have no idea what it means. Instead of clarifying you come back with insults.

You wrote “non outlaw motorcycle gang”. According to the dictionary that means an organized group of criminals that are not criminals. Please clarify.

out·law: a person who has broken the law, especially one who remains at large or is a fugitive.

gang: an organized group of criminals.

English as a Second Language.

Do you know we have these things called WORDS? And the words have MEANINGS? And you can string these MEANINGFUL WORDS together and create CONCEPTS?

No, you don’t know of such a thing.

You’re a troll. You’re a disruptor. That is your only purpose to be here.

He's regressed to the point that he cannot even pretend to understand simple english words, put together into a phrase.

I suppose that's one way to disrupt a discussion. But I think it ultimately is self-defeating.

He isn’t even that good at it. Whaddya s’pose TG gets in return?

I was toying with the idea that TG’s husband was an officer near/associated with the scene. It has to be something like that.

Yes, and when you strung them together here is what you get!

Reagan is on record opposing the act when it was proposed vigorously.

Really?

In 1963-64 Reagan was an actor, television host and a nominal Democrat...honing his public speaking skills by giving speeches to local Realtor groups, Women's clubs, and Savings & Loan associations.

Reagan wasn't even a nationally known political figure back then...so if you have any evidence of his vigorous opposition to the 1964 CRA, by all means present it.

In contrast 1963 saw George Wallace inaugurated to his first term as Governor of Alabama. Wallace used the occasion to announce to the world

"In the name of the greatest people that have ever trod this earth, I draw the line in the dust and toss the gauntlet before the feet of tyranny, and I say segregation now, segregation tomorrow, segregation forever"

If memory serves you grew up in Alabama...isn't that correct?

Buckley & Goldwater's opposition to the 1964 act aren't really that important imo. Goldwater needed Southern votes, got crushed anyway and never recovered his standing in the party...Buckley quickly and famously reversed his position on the issue.

Oh..and just to summarize the original intent of this extended exchange so far: the evidence you promised to provide that I'm a "south basher" etc. etc. here is....exactly nothing.

Which makes you quite the lying crybaby doesn't it?

Go figure...
