Ireland has voted by a huge majority to legalise same-sex marriage, becoming the first country in the world to do so by popular vote in a move hailed as a social revolution and welcomed around the world.

Some 62% of the Irish Republic’s electorate voted in favour of gay marriage. The result means that a republic once dominated by the Catholic church ignored the instructions of its cardinals and bishops.

Traditional marriage lost by more than half a million votes. You can’t have that much voter fraud without it being very easy to see. The leftists were just more motivated to vote than the conservatives.

Western civilization is in its death throes. We aren’t progressing. We’re regressing back to something like the Roman Empire.

It’s a fallen, sinful world, and as the story goes, it’s going to get much, much worse. We are well on our way to the plot’s climax. The good news? Christ returns to save mankind from itself. It’s a good thing, too. Left to our own devices (without God), there is absolutely no evil that we won’t do.

Fortunately, there is still time for each of us to repudiate this foul, evil world and make peace with God through Christ.

"Allowing homosexual priests to run wild and molest in Ireland has led to this."

If the Catholic Church was teaching the Holy Bible instead of the “traditions of men” which Jesus warned against in Mark 7:9-13, then possibly things would have turned out differently. I don’t believe that I’ve ever heard of a Church official referencing Romans 1:25-27 or 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 for example, corrections welcome.

Sad, but at least it was by a majority vote of the people rather than forced on them by the courts.

Ireland is my favorite destination. I am sick. It must be the young people and church scandal. So do all the homosexuals now fly to Ireland for their “weddings.” And I am sure (at least I hope) both the Irish and Catholic churches will refuse to do gay weddings. How will the government react?

There must have been voter fraud, maybe coordinated by the NRA in N. Ireland.

That's actually quite a sound explanation. Voter fraud isn't restricted to the United States. Our Republic saw it most recently in 2012 when hussein was illegally "engineered" into office by the efforts of the New Black Panthers, various forms of ballot box stuffing and so on. Evidently, Ireland has taken a number of pages from the 'RAT playbook and applied it there.

I know several people of Irish descent and, to a man, all are opposed to any form of homosexualism. That's among the many reasons why this so-called "popular" vote is totally fraudulent.

Why not rights for leprechauns? If same sex “marriage” is real marriage, then leprechauns are real.

The leftists were just more motivated to vote than the conservatives.

The Left won on gay marriage by successfully selling themselves as modern-day abolitionists fighting for a cause that is just and right while successfully portraying the opposition as Fred Phelps with his "GOD HATES FAGS" signs. There was no middle, no debate. You were either a kind, caring, compassionate person or you were Fred Phelps.

Nobody wanted to be seen standing next to Fred Phelps.

Which is why I've always believed that Phelps and Company were liberal plants.

The Catholic Church erred by thinking it could let professed, maybe repentant, homosexuals lead churches. Paul gave very wise guidance on what type of people should be leaders, and Catholics ignored it. Do NOT put wolves in charge of the flock!

That said, none of the Catholic Church’s problems excuse what the Irish have done. It’s not surprising, though. Take a look at Western Civilization, and it’s a moral sewer in every other regard. Why would an adulterous, greedy, envious, lying, fornicating people hold the line at homosexuality?

BTW, I’m not saying the Irish are all immoral. I’m speaking in generalizations, but Ireland is far, far from being a moral good in the world and hasn’t been one in a long time.

Catholic Church in Ireland ought to just roll up the welcome mat, close shop and be done with it. Ireland is lost.

Ireland had a horrible time with pedophiile priests. Much worse than here and covered up by the local bishops.

Well, sir, Algore didn't mind palling around to Old Freddy and standing right next to him. Since both are/were far-left 'RATs, they had close affinity to each other. The NAACP and other "civil rights" liberal outfits were also big fans of lawyer Phelps, honoring him numerous times with awards.

Mark 7:9-13 New International Version (NIV)

9 And he (Christ) continued, “You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to observe[a] your own traditions! 10 For Moses said, ‘Honor your father and mother,’[b] and, ‘Anyone who curses their father or mother is to be put to death.’[c] 11 But you say that if anyone declares that what might have been used to help their father or mother is Corban (that is, devoted to God)— 12 then you no longer let them do anything for their father or mother. 13 Thus you nullify the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down. And you do many things like that.”
