Internal emails show Clinton got detailed intel on 'planned' Benghazi hit

WASHINGTON – Internal State Department emails in the aftermath of the Benghazi terror attack show then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton received detailed information indicating the strike was planned by well-trained fighters, yet her office continued to push the narrative days later that it began "spontaneously."

The messages were among 296 emails released Friday by the State Department, in the first batch of emails to be made public from Clinton's tenure as secretary of state. Totaling 896 pages, the emails show a series of Libya dispatches Clinton received from a confidant, as well as the barrage of messages among her and her aides after Sept. 11, 2012.

Those messages depict the rapidly changing understanding of what happened at the U.S. compound that night, and the administration's internal struggle to settle on a public narrative.

230? Good grief. We shouldn't have had anyone in country even with a Marine detail for security.

State Dept. Rules of Engagement Kept Marines out of Tripoli, Benghazi in Libya

Captain Kendra Motz, Marine Corps spokesman, told Breitbart News on Friday that she wasn't aware that the Marine Corps had issued a formal statement, but that the information included in the Powerline report was correct.

"The Marine Corps does not have any Marines stationed at diplomatic installations in Libya."

When asked if she knew of the existence of the document outlining the State Department Rules of Engagement for Libya, she stated:

"I don't, and even if I did I couldn't disclose it to you because it puts people at risk."

The 50 Marines that were rushed to Libya after the murder of Ambassador Stevens are not permanently stationed at any diplomatic installation in Libya.

Thanks for the links. Bookmarked.

You're welcome.

I remember something about the USMC detachment being in the Caribbean on a maneuver or vacation.

She lied when she said there was no classified communication through her private (easily hackable) email and server.

It’s the end of her chances.

That is very strange. There were 150-180 Force Recon Marines on planes on Sigonella ready to go. Other SpecOps teams on the mainland of Europe were ready to go. Fighter jets in Aviano Italy were ready to go.

But Jugears wouldn’t pull the trigger on a CBA to allow those teams to enter a sovereign country. Why send 50 Marines from the Caribbean who wouldn’t get there until it was all over the next morning? They must have needed a CBA to enter Libya. Unless 0useless had waited for permission from Magariaf specifically to avoid issuing a CBA.

Benghazi, the most dangerous place on the planet at the time and Hillary placed "Chris Smith" and support personnel in a rent house where the Libyan guards at the main gate didn't even have weapons. ...repeatedly denied additional security.

She is solely responsible for those loss of lives at the compound she approved and did not fortify.

Thus the need for a cover-up.

“The fact that she left the Ambassador there knowing an attack was planned is another.”
