Its awkward enough when your toddler goes into meltdown mode in a crowded store or on an airplane; the dirty looks and side eye from strangers can be pretty unnerving. But what do you do when the crying fit happens in the White House in front of the President and First Lady of the United States?

The little girl sensed the presence of evil.
Oh ok. I didn’t think he’d really do that on TV but can we really put anything past him? Still had doubts about it. Thanks for the info.
I would be mortified but my daughter has had public meltdowns like that. The under 4 set has those moments, and the WH would have to be ready for such things. They may have made her wait interminably and not bring snacks etc.
Ha ha, I gotta say I love Obama in that picture. Look at his hands, he’s like here, take this child....please!
My grandson pulls this throw yourself on the floor tantrum stuff, but I swear his heart’s not in it. He’s acting. He must have seen someone do this on a TV show or something.
We tell him: that’s right assume the position!
Probably because it was like looking into a mirror.
Obama is the only one allowed to have tantrums in the white house.
Generally Democrats raise Democrats.

Who let a little white girl into that place? I mostly only see Barry’s sons and daughters surrounding him.
Agreed. All politics aside, that’s a funny picture!
No, but don’t let her near a DC park - she might get ‘Vince Fostered’ - oh, wait, that was a previous administration...
“Big deal! When I was a pup, we got spanked by Presidents till the cows came home. Grover Cleveland spanked me on two nonconsecutive occasions.”
In defense of Obama, and concerning the headline, what DO you do when someone else’s child throws a tantrum? Do you intervene? I don’t.
If the woman in the green dress is the kid’s mother, she wanted to sink through the floor at that moment.
Only Congress can have that good of a tantrum at the white hut!
Am I the only one a bit disturbed by this brat?
And the laughing it off and not doing anything?
Politics aside, this seems to be the very trouble with our society. Parents have become hapless sheepish onlookers, letting kids just do whatever they want, and refusing to step in and stop it.
I am sick of the “phase” crapola excuse. Everything is a “phase” to expect according to weak parents raised on Spock principles. Ultimately I think they are just permissive, and reap what they sow.
"Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!"
Obviously the girl had just been told what Moochel was serving for lunch.....
