I;ll have to “go” check!! sadly one cant post Images in the comments section of their site...or Id add a couple
likely due to the few really big quakes that Californis known for
Street cred I guess.
I got some real belly laughs from the comments. I guess we, as Americans have to laugh and make jokes during these dark, dreary days of this evil administration.
90mi is close.
Its depends on the tremble itself. I was living in the AZ desert 250mi from Northridge and it sent my pool sloshing something fierce back in the day.
It rolled through like a wet blanket. It is unnerving.
The cycles between large quakes are way beyond my understanding
the big talk about the soon coming BIG ONE...in California has been going on for so many years that I’m thinking it may be utter speculation
This is good to know, Hoover Dam was designed with Earthquakes in mind.
“Hoover Dam in the US built in the 1930s was the first concrete dam designed against earthquake where both the inertial effects of the dam and the hydrodynamic pressure of the reservoir were taken into account.”

ah yes shift tectonic plates might otherwise...upset....the dam..and THAT would be quite the disaster indeed,
